The End
Where: On the Sun
When: After all that stuff going on with Ace and the following rush/chaos. And after helping Aya with 'departing'.
What: Insane Spell Killing Spree
Warnings: Violence. And a seriously messed up Selphie.
Style: Any you prefer!
Status: Closed - Spades only. (Apart from Aya, because he's dead).
There was something about the way the thunder hit Aya that was very exciting. Dropped dead. And that voice in her head, the one that had been tormenting her for days, it seemed pleased. Urging her to do more. Didn't it feel wonderful? Wasn't she one step closer to getting everything she had ever wanted? Of course it was.
The strength of the spell was such that it probably didn't go unnoticed by the crew, the light a giveaway if nothing else. But now Selphie has a taste for it, there's going to be a lot more where that came from. Selphie skipped over Aya's body like she was playing a playground game - there was no sense in wasting time to hide it if everyone else was going to end up in the same way.
Selphie made her way to her room first, gathering up her nunchaku, and then the destruction began.
Thundaga, Blizzaga, Firaga. Thunder, ice, and fire, aimed at rooms, aimed at the kitchen, and they'd be aimed immediately at anyone she caught sight of. If it moved, it was targetted. Eventually out on deck, Selphie could be found giggling as she blasted fire around her, with every intent of watching the ship, and everyone else in it, burn.
((ooc: Do what you will with Selphie - you have my permission! Though killing her will only be an option for Ikki (d'aww romance). Be warned that she will not stop using spells until she is unconscious - be that provided for her, or if she herself passes out from exhaustion. She will stop at nothing. Enjoy! And any questions just plurk me or PM me or whatever! ^^)).
Y Hallow Thar (this is a placeholder till Sunday =( )
A gesture and a word of summoning called up a pair scouts in the form of imps and Chandra sent them scurrying below decks to locate the offender while she mentally braced herself. What the fuck is wrong with this plane? she asked herself, followed by Why the fuck am I even bothering? and capped with Why the fuck am I not just burning this place down? It doesn't help that things keep going crazy, but whatever!
So, down below decks she went, fingers crackling with electricity. She's ready, and sending the imps ahead of her, scuttling forward as scouts. So it's them that Selphie is likely to see first, a pair of two foot tall gremlins scampering along.
Hii~
Hiiiii
Chandra felt the mana-connection severed, and stalked forward, tracking the other imp as it ran towards her. Would Selphie follow?
^___^
"You're not supposed to be here..." The woman was a stranger after all, promptly Selphie to tilt her head and give a lopsided grin.

"Thatch, Yuuki, and Namur seemed to think otherwise. I'm the new girl. Chandra."
She's not taking chances, her hands are set in a defensive posture and ready to deflect hostile magic.
"Who might you be, cutie?"
no subject
"That's a secret!" And there is a crackle in the air as she sets a thundara spell towards her.
no subject
"If you want me dead, you'll have to do better than that, cutie."
Chandra chuckles, and twists her left hand, beginning to call up shards of stone, the makings of a small golem. Better to try and disable this kid quick.
no subject
Her eyes narrowed at the word 'cutie'. While Selphie might not have ordinarily minded, in this frame of mind it was far from ideal. Lightning and fire clearly weren't the ways to go, so she mustered up a quick blizzara spell instead, fighting fire with ice. "Killing you isn't supposed to be cute, silly!"
no subject
Chandra's right hand twitches again, throwing out an intensified gust of superheated air right at the ice. It doesn't ground it out entirely this time, but it shatters the hard chunks into crystalline shards that pepper Chandra's exposed skin rather than freezing her. Blood trickles from a myriad of tiny cuts on her hands and face, and the resulting clash of energy kicks up a cloud of mist as the ice turns to steam.
Moving slightly, she picks her way into the fog, using it as cover to continue conjuring that golem.

But beside her stood a golem that towered over both women. It's fists, orange crystals, glowed with a sullen light. The construct took a lumbering step towards Selphie and swung one hand at her like a sledge. Chandra's not trying to kill her, just...knock her out.
no subject
There was little more time to think on it though as that hand swung for her. She tried to leap to the side, but was caught by the leg and sent sliding along the wooden floor, landing crumpled by a wall, reaching out for her nunchaku, "You should learn to play fair, lady!"
no subject
"You're the one trying to kill me...cutie." Chandra shot back, eyes flashing. "I'm not going to let you, and neither is he."
The construct rumbled and lurched towards the girl, one stone foot stamping down on the nunchaku. It's fist raised, it waits for the mental command from it's controller.
"Give up, and let's talk.
no subject
Without the nunchaku, however, even possessed Selphie was taking stock of the situation. She let go of her weapon and slid across the deck, moving out of reach of the creature. "Talk?! About what? Do you have a favourite way to die?"
no subject
"Talk about why the fuck you're trying to kill me, girl. Eternities beyond, you're off your rocker!"

So, at a mental command, the golem swings a fist down at Selphie, hoping for a knockout blow she'll recover from later.

"Sorry cutie," she murmured as she wandered below decks, "Not today."

Meaning something was very, very wrong.
It starts as an electrochemical taste, strong and foreign. Then comes the smell. Namur rocks his head toward the Sun, inhaling sharply.]
Shit, damn it!
[He finds a rope and swings over, landing on the Sun's deck with a thump.]
Oi! The hell's goin' on over here?
no subject
Oops! Looks like you made a big mistake!
*She blinks, and aims a thundara spell towards him - at home, aiming thunder at a fish would fry them hard, and that's what she's aiming for*
no subject
What's yer problem, Sel? Talk it out, otherwise this ain't gonna end well for y'.

no subject
(oh yeah, prob junctioned with some thunder spells!)

*She's grinning though, pleased that she was able to land such a hit. This time though, she's hoping it'll take less energy to smack him with her weapon instead. Not that she's really thinking strategy*
no subject
Yer cruisin' Sel. Stop sayin' that kind a shit!
[Namur dives at her, intending to grab her leg in his teeth and push himself up with his arms.]
no subject
Dead dead deaaaad. Dead dead deaaad.
*But it's cut short when her leg is trapped by his teeth, and she gives a growl of annoyance, shaking and pulling at her leg*
Let go!~
*And she'll make for another swing at his head*

Sorry for being late!
Even as Aya's Cosmo suddenly vanishes, Ikki doesn't react or move from where he is. Everything seems to be falling apart, and she's only just one of the several problems they already have. He should have known better, but he underestimated the enemy. The real enemy. Or maybe he overestimated the people he was with, he had done that in the past as well. But there's no point in dwelling on that.
He has things to do. And he will start with her. He had warned her enough times already, that she would eventually be burned if she was close to him. Though he would have never thought that it would be in such a way.
Ikki intercepts her before she sinks the whole ship, but not before she has some more fun by herself. He wears his Cloth and his Cosmo burns.]
Hello, Selphie.
[His tone is serious and deep, a grim greeting for her. The next second he's attacking her, he has always been a man of action and if she could be talked out of this nothing says he can't try it while he fights. And if she can't... He has never been known for hesitating to kill even those he loved dearly.]
no subject
Hi, Ikki!
*She steels herself, attacking immediately, lashing out with her nunchaku while sending a blizzara spell straight for his chest. Ice against fire would cause the most damage she was sure*
no subject
[It takes more than just a spell, even one as strong as blizzara, to bother Ikki. The cold is similar to Hyoga's normal attacks, and because of that it's something he can take head on without fear. Next time she tries that attack it will be even more useless, her magic is different from direct Cosmo attacks, but not enough for him to not be able to protect himself from it like he does with his usual enemies. The ice that forms on the chest piece of his armor melts easily.
He saw that, that brief shift in her eyes. It was gone too soon, but it was there. She's still there, somewhere. And as ready as he is to kill if it's necessary, he still has to try at least once before giving up.
He moves quickly, faster than her eyes can follow, concentrating his Cosmo to send the attack. Unlike with Roxas this time he uses a lot of power, if there is a chance to drive whatever is in her away it will only happen if he goes all out. Last time it failed, but he had been fighting against a god, if this is similar, even with his dampened powers, maybe it would be enough.]
Hoo Genma Ken!!
[A huge and strong wave of Cosmo, sent right into her brain. Hopefully it will be enough... At least enough to bring her back long enough to say goodbye.]
1/2
*Then she gives an evil laugh at the thought - it starts off as a quiet giggle almost like she's laughing at a secret, personal joke. With herself, or with the voice inside her head. If that blizzara didn't work, then she'd just have to try again. This time, she takes a few steps back to conjure up a blizzaga spell, wanting only to freeze him, shatter him if she can.
But as soon as the spell is sent towards him, Selphie freezes, hit by a force that she has no idea how to pull herself back from*
2/2
There's some distance between herself and Ikki, but Selphie runs quickly to close the gap, her eyes wide and wild with fear and confusion as she throws herself at him*
I-Ikki - what's happening? I can't help it - It's - You have to help me, please.
*Her voice is a hurried, desperate whisper, and she holds herself to him with a frightened grip, searching his eyes for some kind of help, or answer, wanting whatever was going on inside her head just to be over*
1/2
Nothing.
No external Cosmo pulling back. No faint trace of a soul fleeing away from her. Whatever it's in her, it's still there.
It makes sense, really, he had only been feeling her Cosmo, not anyone's else. No strange mixture of energies in her. Just her. The same as always. Except that she's not the same, and he can't save her. He wonders if it would have made a difference had Athena being here, she had triumphed where he failed back when Shun was possessed, and though it hurt his pride, he would have done anything to have her doing a miracle again right now.]
2/2
It's okay. I won't let her force you to do anything else. It's not your fault.
But I can't make her go away completely.
[Not in a way that would really help Selphie.]
1/2
I didn't mean to - I don't want to -
2/2
no subject
Selphie's not there anymore, he knows it. But he still speaks as if she was. As if somehow his words can still reach her wherever she is.]
I know you don't want to.
[He presses her closer to him, strongly enough to hurt her but he doesn't care. It won't hurt her for long after all. He leans his head down towards her, whispering right in her ear.]
I love you.
[Then he burns his Cosmo, violently, suddenly, full of anger and hate, more than whatever fake anger and hate that witch may have instilled in Selphie. Ikki is anger and hate after all, he was forged in them, made to be them and even if he recovered enough to be normal again... He can still go back to that so easily that it's laughable.
His energy burns around them and the flames devour them whole. Both of them. Pure fire energy without control or restraint, just low enough to not actually make them both explode into dust, but it burns them both alive. He keeps her close to his body even as the fire consumes him as well, flesh tearing apart and burning as if mere paper. And the fire keeps burning in rampage but it still doesn't affect anything else but them, only leaving black traces on the ship's wood.]
no subject
Then she stops at that whisper, but it's not enough to bring her back. If anything, it makes her try even harder to pull away, her nails digging and clawing at his back, frantically doing what she can to be apart from him. She can't kill him if she's so painfully close.
The burning around her skin causes her to spasm and scream, though it doesn't seem to be her own, belong to someone, or something else instead. But soon she makes no sound, eyes and mouth open in horror, until they disappear completely in the flames*
