[Has Roxas met Aya? Yes, he did, didn't he. He stops in front of him and crouches down, peering at him and the sword he's cleaning. His name completely escapes him.]

What're you doing?

[Aya looks up and spots Roxas there. It's been a while since they last spoke.]

I'm maintaining my sword. [There is a curious look given his way.] Don't you do something similar with yours?

[Roxas shakes his head.]

Nope, I never even thought about it. It just disappears and reappears when I want it to. Always looks the same, I think.

[Granted, Heartless don't usually bleed, but Sora did, that might still be on his sword somewhere.]

You probably should, so it doesn't get dull and rusted.

[Probably don't wanna leave blood on a sword.]

[Roxas summons Oathkeeper and holds it out so Aya can get a look at it.]

Do I need to do something to it?

[Aya looks over the blade, assessing it with scrutiny.]

Maybe cleaning it with a special oil to get the stains off, and then sharpening it.

How do you do that? I just summon it and it shows up. I never did anything to it before.

...right. Just leave it with me, and I'll do it. You can watch.

Uh, well I don't know if I can do that. I think I have to hold it. You can try though!

[He holds out Oathkeeper to Aya.]

[Odd...well, Aya tries to take the blade from the other, slowly. Will it actually disappear?]

[Keyblades are magic blades after all, and they are only for the intended user. It's not very long at all that Aya has to wait before Oathkeeper vanishes and appears back in Roxas' hand.]

Just like when I'm fighting, right?

[Aya nods and makes room for Roxas to sit.]

Pay close attention, then. [And he go through all the steps necessary to clean his weapon.]

[He watches, but by the time he's moving on from the second step, his eyes are a little crossed.]

Uh, I'm not...it's a lot of information. Maybe I can write it down.

You can, but after we're done. I'll go slower. [He can't stop in the middle.]

[Roxas nods and quiets, watching to the best of his abilities.]

[For his first time, Roxas wasn't doing too badly. It wasn't hard to do this sort of maintenance, but disassembling it and doing a thorough cleaning would be saved for another day. They got to the end without too much trouble, and both their blades looked better than when they started.]

[Roxas smiles and looks at Oathkeeper. It certainly looks a little shinier.]

That wasn't too bad...but I don't remember it all.

I didn't remember on my first try, either. [Aya chuckles softly.] But it's good to try, then take notes, so that when you do it on your own you won't be unfamiliar.

Okay.

[He makes it disappear and pulls out his notebook.]

Tell me again.

[formerabyssinian]

[Aya nods and proceeds to tell him each step carefully, giving points at crucial steps like not to touch the blade at the last step. He also gives some advice about removing stains and other debris.]

[Roxas writes diligently until he's finished and he nods a bit.]

Anytime. When you get your own supplies, I'll walk you through the steps again, but I won't be cleaning my sword at the same time.

Yeah, I guess I have to do Oblivion too.

[Makes sense. If he hadn't cut into Sora back then, his blades would be fine really.]
