Who: Crew of the Sinewave and anyone they happen to run into!
When: Entire month of April, unless something dramatic happens
Where: Isla Empieza (9th - 16th), ocean (1st - 8th, southern; 16th - 23rd, various), finally ending up on Phantasia (23rd - 30th?)
What: April mingle for the Sinewave and anyone unfortunate enough to run into them! After the trip back from Muertos, the crew stays on Empieza for welcoming and recruiting duties (in the most general sense), then sets sail for the elusive island of Phantasia so Crocker can finally finish his ship-cloaking device. After a week of sailing in circles, the island decides to appear for them--adventures (and fairy-related terrors) ensue, much to the inhabitants' misfortune.
Warnings: Language likely, violence towards fairies and other magical lifeforms also very possible, mostly by Crocker.
Status: Subthread-specific, but new ones can be made by anyone who happens to be in the area!

[When Hachiken wakes up at some ungodly hour, he yawns and blinks a few times before fumbling for his glasses. Once they are secure on his face, he can look at Codi's handiwork.

There are eggs everywhere, tucked into the strangest places, but settled on the corner of his pillow is a golden egg. That's just...strange.

Hachiken picks it up and hears some noise. His eyes widen in surprise.

He changes and gets ready for the day and by the time he's done that, his new friend is there, chirping at him. Hachiken takes a detour to the bathroom to clean up the little chick and sets him back in his room.

There's a bit of a commotion as he tries to leave and the little chick follows him.]

You can't come with me, it's really not safe...

[Something else that isn't safe: the bucket of boiled eggs and seawater sitting on the outside rim of Hachiken's door. Codi perched it there after she heard him come back from the bathroom, and now she lurks down the hallway, waiting anxiously for the brilliant disaster that is soon to follow him leaving again.]

[Naturally Hachiken opens the door and woosh!

He lets out a surprised yelp. Way to wake up the entire crew, Hachiken.]

[Success! Codi bounds down the hallway, skidding to a halt just outside the range of the seawater-and-smashed-egg puddle. Her eyes are bloodshot but brimming with energy.]

Hachiken! Did you see what I found?

[Ugh, the worst part is that it's splattered on his glasses. He pulls them off and starts wiping at them with a corner of his shirt.]

Was it a pile of eggs in water?

Good guess! [Codi grins and goes to smack Hachiken on the back.] No--the gold egg! Did it do anything, finally?

Oh, yeah.

[He puts his glasses back on.]

It hatched into a baby chick.

[Said chick is puttering around Hachiken's room, avoiding the water.]

[Codi's eyes light up, travel past Hachiken's head to the inside of his room--and moments later she's trying to push past him to get a better look.]

How cute! I guess that makes sense, huh? [A beat.] --You're keeping it, right? Have you thought of a name yet?

[Sure Codi, just invite yourself in.]

Of course I am. What else would we do with it?

[He seems to think about that.]

I can't tell if it's a boy or a girl yet. If it's a boy, we'll be eating it later..We could call it Nugget!

[maskedtyrant]

[Codi blinks for a moment. What else would they do with it? Throw it overboard? Feet it to the raptors? No, this seems much more reasonable.]

I like it! But what if it's a girl, though? Same name?

Sure, why not?

[Hachiken smiles and leans down to scoop up the little chick in his hands.]

[Codi instinctively coos over it, holding out her hand to ruffle its downy feathers.]

Nugget! I'm so glad I didn't put that egg under Crocker's pillow when I found it.

[A beat.]

...I should probably have the first mates locked up for a while until we figure out where to keep this thing, huh?
