[Somehow, she figured someone on the crew would have warned her by now, but she's actually glad Korra stayed in most of the time and even envies her. Too bad she can't say the same thing about Bolin, for obvious reasons.

Obvious to Asami anyway. Here Korra, let Asami help make the connection]

They release a lot pollen when it starts getting dark. It's suppose to make you more...romantic?

[That seems like a good choice of word to make]

[rebonding]

[Dawn breaks over marble head, and it shows.]

That's what's doing it?!

[It's the most emotion Korra's shown in quite a while. Exasperated, she wheeled over to the vase, bent the water out of it with a weak flick of her wrist, and sparked the flowers alight.]

I've been going crazy these past few nights!

[...Clearly she's not as tactful as Asami.]

[Korra casts an accusatory look at the door.]

[She knows first hand as well, to which she huffs a vexing sigh]

[Mellowing out after her slight outburst, Korra settles back into her chair. Then she remembers how... uncomfortable Asami was when she first came in.]

You been holding up all right?

[If she could, Asami would probably take to banging her forehead on a wall or table. Over and over again. But instead she just shakes her head a little]

I don't know. I'm trying as best as I can right now. [A beat] Going back to Serenes didn't help like I thought it would.

[rebonding]

[Korra's expression sinks at that.]

What's wrong?

[Other than the whole 'Asami isn't exactly rowdy pirate material' Korra has suspected from day one.]

[Out of everyone on the crew, Korra is probably the person she feels the most comfortable saying this to. Mako would have been out of the question, if he was still here.

The only problem is how to word it properly. She leans herself back against the wall, her expression being a mix of puzzlement and slightly peeved]

Well...it's just being on the the island with a really close friend isn't the best idea in the world. I'll just leave it at that.

[rebonding]

[Korra's mouth opened. Then closed. Then opened again.

Nope. She's got nothing.]

Oh. I... am so sorry.

[Aaawkward.]

[Asami should probably say something back, but she actually can't think of thing to say. So with crossed arms, she just has this face, Korra.

[What is she even supposed to do right now...]

You wanna... go for a walk? Or something?

I can't do much about driving, but... getting some fresh air would be good.

[With a sympathetic look to Asami, Korra reaches for her... magic bubble wand and pushes the button. Getting on and off the ship and around the uneven island ground is difficult in a wheel chair. She reaches up for Asami in a quiet request for help in making the switch-over.]

[She'd suggest the moped, but considering what happened the last time many many many fortnights ago, that might not have been a good idea. And the bubble was much easier for Korra anyway.

Asami gladly holds out a hand for her and helps her over to the bubble...thing]

I might not have a high opinion of the island, but I always thought the beaches were really pretty.

[rebonding]

I'd like to crack some sense into the morons handing out those flowers...

[Korra can't help but grumble. Really, that is just... wrong. On so many levels. She'd like to, even if she knows that she can't. It's nice to daydream.

She settles on the bubble with a small, deflating sigh and sets for the door.]

I think you're going to have to wait in line for that...

[She isn't referring to herself when she says that, even if she would very much like to give them a piece of her mind. She's almost certain people like Ikki or Ace would have no problem burning the entire island down given the chance.

Asami opens the door, more so out of habit, to let them both out. She'll close it afterwards]

Honestly, I'm going to feel a lot more better once we actually leave.

[rebonding]

Is that soon? I don't want to be here longer than we have to be.

[Not now that she knows exactly what's up. Why are they still here? There isn't anything of value on this island. Just skeevy locals.

Korra floats out the door in front of Asami. This is such a regular thing, by now, that she doesn't acknowledge it.]

[Asami starts a brisk walk as soon as they head out, walking slowly wasn't something she felt like kept her mind clear at all. But she does slow down just in case, not knowing how fast that bubble of Korra's could actually go.

The island was filled with a bunch of sleazebags, that much was fact]

No, we'll have to tell him. This is ridiculous.

[Getting worked up about it isn't going to solve anything, but it's easier to point the general anger that has been stewing so much in Korra lately at a guilty target.

Thankfully, it's easy for her to keep up with Asami. At least one thing isn't going to add to her frustration.]

[Because she has no idea. When she sees that Korra is able to keep up with her walking easily, she picks up her stride again just a bit]

[Korra pauses for a long moment. Should she even go there...?]

[Do the thing? With Ace? Korra's expression finishes her question for her. They have equally shitty taste in men, it's a valid question...]

[Can you feel the awkward tonight? Korra cringes and keeps floating along.]

I just want to make sure I don't end up saying anything wrong to... the wrong person. Or make things more awkward than they have to be.
