[After a few more drawn-out moments, Hubert finally spots the other weapon against a wall. He takes it up in hand, testing it in a stance that he usually takes whenever he spars with Asbel. It feels...weird, and almost wrong. For a moment, Hubert fears that he'll be compelled to turn the weapon upon his brother again. But the faintest thought of it stirs revulsion and horror in him, so at least he's safe from that. Unfortunately, it doesn't erase the guilt of having thought of such a thing in the first place, but not all battles can be won.
Hubert swallows his misgivings and creeps back to the scintillating spectacle of Asbel vs. Zombie, waiting for a good moment to strike. The zombie doesn't seem to have noticed him yet, but Hubert is wary of darting in willy-nilly when there's a strong chance he might get swiped accidentally by Asbel. Not to mention that Hubert has no confidence that he himself can take down the zombie with a well-placed stab even if he does have a pretty clear shot at the zombie's back.]
