He's not entirely sure why he's here. Or, well, he does know, it's just the instincitiveness of it surprises him a bit. The young lady Maribelle is crew, in this world's sense of the term, so of course he had to be here in a show of support; though his mind kept insisting it was more like, 'public appearance'.

Well, semantics.

The important thing was he was at the party, at a small table, holding a smaller teacup and sipping at it. He felt like a bear in that one children's story... Or was it a comic book? Well, never mind. He felt just this side of too big for too small a place but...

At least the tea is good. And the hors d'oeuvres were--if not the same quality he'd find at certain Marine receptions, at least not terrible. And now he seemed to be out of tea.

"Well..."

He picked up a tiny round of pate and ate it, assuming the mantle of: of course I'm not too big for this establishment. I fit right in. You just have failed to notice, obviously.
