Winry brushed her hair back from her face impatiently, thinking she really needed to get something to control the strands. The constant breeze coming off the water (
oceean, she reminded herself) played havoc with her hair. "Maybe I should just braid it, like Ed."
Speaking of which, where was he? She'd told him she wanted to meet him so they could buy a boat. The shipwrights already said they'd be happy to show them how to get the boat out of the yard, if nothing else. Winry hoped that'd be enough, with the books Ed had been reading. She'd picked up a few, learning more about needing to stock up on fresh fruit and vegetables than anything.
With a sigh, Winry turned in place, trying to spot Ed. They really needed to get their boat, if everything she'd been hearing and reading in her journal was true. Her stomach growled, and she wondered if Ed had stopped to get something to eat. It'd be like him to show up with skewers of something poking out of his mouth. Or a sandwich!
Her stomach growled, and Winry hoped he'd bring her something, too.
