Maribelle's birthday party
Who: Maribelle and her Guests
Where: Isla Empieza
When: April 14th (But feel free to backtag forever)
What: A birthday party smash, with cake, candy, meat, tea, music, dancing, and Maribelle bopping people over the head with her Parasol if they misbehave.
Warnings: Probably PG, since Maribelle will harp on anyone using foul language at her birthday party.
Status: Open to everyone. You can sneak in the party through the window if you really want.
Style: Whatever your comfortable with.
She'd 'reserved' the pub for the day, but the bartender was still letting any of his regulars in to buy drinks because there was no way some prissy vixen was going to get in the way of good business. Still, Maribelle made a point of whacking the fingers of any locals who tried to steal any of her party hors d'oeuvres. She was also pressing Brady and Smoker to take shifts watching the door, since she suspected the both of them forgetting her birthday entirely. Their job was to watch and make sure no unwelcome pirates came into the place, while Maribelle's party was ongoing.
All that was left now... was to wait.

Welcome~!
[Reply to this for those of you who are coming in through the front door and wish to play this part out. Smoker or Brady are encouraged to also welcome people]

Food~!

Well, semantics.
The important thing was he was at the party, at a small table, holding a smaller teacup and sipping at it. He felt like a bear in that one children's story... Or was it a comic book? Well, never mind. He felt just this side of too big for too small a place but...
At least the tea is good. And the hors d'oeuvres were--if not the same quality he'd find at certain Marine receptions, at least not terrible. And now he seemed to be out of tea.
"Well..."
He picked up a tiny round of pate and ate it, assuming the mantle of: of course I'm not too big for this establishment. I fit right in. You just have failed to notice, obviously.

"It seems we have a relatively small turnout for my birthday party this year, but I suppose that is to be expected. Still I'm very grateful that you came today Kuzan."
Damn though... he really was pretty tall. She always thought Smoker was tall, but Aokiji was nearly twice her height, and possibly just as tall as her sitting down.

Presents~!
[Here is where the birthday girl unwraps any and all presents. If you wish to give Maribelle a present, please say what it is either through your character's thoughts or your character explaining when the gift is unwrapped. I don't need to be playing a guessing game with whatever it is in Maribelle's hands at the time.]

Ahh, well... It was nothing...
[and it's not much, granted. A variety of teas in a little wooden box. Fairly cheap but he hopes the sentiment is good enough]

Oh, how cute!
[Maribelle opens the little wooden box, picking up one of the little tea bags, delighted at just the gesture that he knew enough about her to know her fondness for tea time.]
You'll have to be sure to come share these with me at some point, alright? It's the least I can do for such a thoughful gesture.

Music and Dancing~!

Brady dear? Will you be so kind as to dance with your mother on her birthday?
[It may sound like a request, but denying her request on her birthday may not be a safe idea.]
no subject
[He knows he has little choice in this, given who this is, but... Dance, really? The guy with the two left feet?]
... Tch. Only cause it's your birthday, old-timer...

End of the Night
[It's time for the teary goodbyes, or getting literally thrown out of the pub for being a loud, obnoxious party-crasher. Thank you for coming and have a nice day!]
