What: VACATION. They've had a rough summer so it's time for some downtime. There are water parks, beaches, and an obligatory onsen, so mix and mingle with the super-happy (and young and pretty) locals and have some fun!

[Gan Ning promised his ragtag crew a party, and by god, they were going to have a party. It might have been worth it to hold on Isla Empieza, to mingle with other crews there, but there wasn't much going on there to stick around for. He heard from someone in the harbor about this island and decided it would make a great place for a party.

Somewhere along the way Raphael disappeared, sadly, but the rest of them continued on. They had already put off partying for too many reasons - a poor showing in the race, other crewmates disappearing, Cynthia's rescue from the clutches of giant spiders, and so on. No more. This time, they were just going to put down anchor, hang out on the beach, make some ice cream, and have a good time. Besides, with Tsuzuki joining the crew, they had to show him that they knew how to stick together, right?

He's the baby of my team. A friend gave him to me as a present, and who was I to turn down such a sweet little boy?

"Hm!" Tsuzuki looked at the man with one eye open with a smirk. Oh, wasn't that an odd topic. He doubted the captain would hold it against him, but it was still difficult to explain...

"If I told you, you'd never believe me. Looks aren't always what they seem, especially where I live back home."

Flattery? I guess it does sound like that when I say it out loud. Just making an observation on my part though, really. I tend to think out loud sometimes, and it makes me sound like an air-head. I'll remember to not try sucking up though future reference though. Hm!

[He wondered if Gan Ning wanted her to remember this or not. He didn't want to miss out on that bar hopping. He had a feeling he would need it in the months to come. The extended vacation could only be fun for so long after all...]

[If she wasn't going to whisper, he would just keep his voice down then.]

He mentioned that we weren't hurting for money because you were good with money and hunting for treasure. He used a gem covered bell to prove how good you were. Does that sound familiar to you?

[It was that kind of thinking that made Tsuzuki admire you more though, Captain. He'll just smile at you, since you're clearing to good a person to let it go to your head.]

I'm not sure where I can fit in. I'm not even sure what I can do. I was cut off from some of my resources when I woke up here. I haven't tested myself much either... but hopefully, I'll come through when it counts.

"That so?" Ning shook his head. "Suit yourself, but I've been all over, I've seen a thing or two. Maybe I'd believe more than you think."

Resources, huh? What, like magic and stuff? [shrug] Maybe a little practice'll help. We got plenty of time, I don't expect there to be any real trouble on this island.

"Well... have you heard of Purgatory?" Just a stab in the dark with that question. It sounded vague enough to leave out the Ministry for now. He could be honest about where he was from and why at 98 he still liked 26. That wouldn't jinx anyone, right?

Mm! I'm a top class Ofuda practitioner. Most of the familiars I call on to help though aren't responding, but I have other things I can do. Some of my abilities are working either. I suppose I could use some practice though, just to test myself. Volunteering, Captain? Hm?

That wasn't treasure. Well, it's probably worth as much as treasure. But I went to a jeweler and had it made specifically for him. That was the first time I found treasure in this world. So I got it for him as a thank you preset for believing in my wild hunch.

[ She had to stop herself from actually screaming at the boy. Normally she wouldn't mind raising her voice at Ning or someone her age. But there was just something about screaming at a child that felt wrong.

With a sigh, she lets go of his arm and looks for two new tubes for them. ]

Hundreds! That's amazing. We've had great balls and parties that span the whole kingdom, but nothing like this kind of party.

"...nope." Gan Ning put his head to the side to think. The beliefs common among his fellow Han did have the heavenly bureaucracy, complete with providing for and paying off ghosts so they wouldn't return, but he didn't know it by that name. Nope, didn't sound familiar. "Some place you live, back home?"

"Heh... Well, like I said, I was pretty invisible, keeping to myself mostly. I haven't been on a ship for a while, and ours is a lot smaller than the one I was on last." Cruiser line was huge, and he had gotten lost on it a few times. The Hazmats ship was much smaller, and he was much more aware of the motion of the boat. He wasn't sea sick, just wobbly on his feet... since he couldn't fly anymore.

"Cynthia, Gaius, Hiccup, Toothless, and Ariel... hm... I'll have to remember those names when I meet them." The mention of the galley distracted him, and he got excited... He hit the ball a bit hard and over Lea's shoulder. "You cook?! ...oops."

That was generous of you. You must see him as a good friend to have such an expensive gift made for him. You do enjoy treasure hunting though, don't you? He made it sound like you were very good at it when we were at the onsen together.
