What: VACATION. They've had a rough summer so it's time for some downtime. There are water parks, beaches, and an obligatory onsen, so mix and mingle with the super-happy (and young and pretty) locals and have some fun!

[Gan Ning promised his ragtag crew a party, and by god, they were going to have a party. It might have been worth it to hold on Isla Empieza, to mingle with other crews there, but there wasn't much going on there to stick around for. He heard from someone in the harbor about this island and decided it would make a great place for a party.

Somewhere along the way Raphael disappeared, sadly, but the rest of them continued on. They had already put off partying for too many reasons - a poor showing in the race, other crewmates disappearing, Cynthia's rescue from the clutches of giant spiders, and so on. No more. This time, they were just going to put down anchor, hang out on the beach, make some ice cream, and have a good time. Besides, with Tsuzuki joining the crew, they had to show him that they knew how to stick together, right?

Old Man at the Onsen | Sept. 24

Tsuzuki had heard about the onsen from the locals, and with such fond memories of the one he had almost missed out on in Hokkaido, the shinigami made it his goal to enjoy this one. Gan Ning had told him to enjoy himself, so he was going to. Hello, long-need vacation! Asato was going to milk you for all it was worth!

After the amazing trip there, the archway and cable car especially, the near century year old guardian smiled at the lovely ladies on staff that ushered him to the changing rooms. They were quite the catch, but he was far to shy to do more than smile and laugh awkwardly at them, making them giggle at him with amusement. When he finally got to the baths, he sank in the warm water with a heavy sigh of contentment.

"Aaaaaaahhhhhh... This brings back memories..."

After his bath, he decided to take in the recreation. He found a ping-pong table, but he had no one to play with. He glanced around like a grade school boy, hoping he wouldn't have to play alone on the playground...

Gorgeous attendants and a real bath? All of Gan Ning's worries and troubles were good and washed away, by the time he got to the soaking. Without his headband and feathers, his normally-spiky hair was looking unusually wilted, for once. Grinning broadly, he stepped down into the bath just behind Tsuzuki.

"Not too bad! I didn't think I'd find one like this here!" He found a bench under the water and stretched out with his arms on the lip of the bath. "Gotta love a real bathhouse."

"Oh, yes... I haven't been to a decent onsen since the last office vacation back home, and it was abruptly cut short. No interruptions here though! Hm-hm!" He hummed happily. Grinning like a kid, Tsuzuki glanced in Gan Ning's direction.

"How long has it been for you?"

"Ping-pong, huh?"

He hadn't had a chance to get to know the new guy that well yet and he'd come to the conclusion as a kid that there was no better way to get to know something than kicking their ass, so a little friendly competition sounded like a great idea. Lea leaned on the door frame and surveyed the room. His skills were probably a little rusty, but there was probably a way to cheat...

"You looking for someone to lose to?"

"Huh?" Tsuzuki glanced toward the doorway, surprised. Despite his apparent age, his face looked a lot younger. Hearing the challenge, he blinked at first. Then, he sprouted a grin. He thought he'd seem that red hair around the ship, but he'd never gotten the chance to talk yet. What a golden opportunity!

"Well, I don't claim to be a star player, but I'm willing to see if I stand a chance." He picked up the other paddle, holding it out to the challenger. "Should we see if I lose or not? Hm!"

Tsuzuki hadn't been there very long when Roxas comes out of the changeroom, a towel around his waist. He placed it in the designated area and stepped into the warm water. It felt really soothing, actually. Of all the things to do on the island, this wasn't his first choice but he was always willing to try things once.

The warm water made him sigh contently and he blinked at Tsuzuki. Was he familiar? It didn't matter. He was under instruction to make new friends anyway. So he smiled at the older man. "Hi!"

Tsuzuki opened his eyes from where he had plopped down to relax. A young face had entered the bath. He looked familiar, and if that were the case, he might just be one of his crew members. He liked getting to know the people around him. At least, he could figure out if they would get along or not, right?

"Hello," he replied, waving at the young man. Opening his amethysts eyes, they seemed to smile as brightly as his lips were at the moment. "Would you happen to be a part of the Hazmats crew? You look familiar to me..."

Roxas Catch-All!

[At the beginning of the vacation, Roxas can be found enjoying the beach. Kicking and splashing int he surf, building mounds of sand that don't remotely resemble castles or just lying around catching a little sun, eating some ice cream. He's still under doctor's orders for that arm of his, so he'll be doing the best R&R one can do with one arm.]

[Roxas is so going to the Aquarium to admire all the strange wildlife he can find, and you can bet he's going to be hitting up the petting the underwater sea creature exhibits so he can pet more strange creatures.]

[Near the end of the trip, he gives up on the sling for a couple of days in favour of going to the water park. He can be found pacing about, looking at the slides with a hint of trepidation, or considering what other things he'd like to do. Once he goes down a slide though, that's it, expect he'll be doing that all day to really enjoy the thrill of sliding down hundreds of feet and cheating death.]

[Lea waits for Roxas to get wrapped up in petting all the cute little sea creatures in a touch tank, then drapes himself over his back and starts poking at animals.]

[ Talk about busy bee. Cynthia will be off doing a few things. If you're lucky to catch her, you're free to join her little adventures. But since this is water world, she'll be in a bikini about 90% of the time.

Her eyes are up here, boys.

a. Sun bathing over at the beach. She's been waiting to do that for the longest time now so don't ruin it for her, Roxas

b. Taking a dip over at the bath house. Is it a unisex sauna? It's probably a unisex sauna.

c. Having a picnic over by the lake. Yes, she actually packed a lunch and had a whole picnic set up. Why? Because she can.

d. Riding a tube down by the lazy river...she's probably taking a nap in it too. Tip her over if you dare.

e. Wildcard. Come at me bros.

[Gan Ning knows it's wiser to ogle Cynthia when she's at least in the bikini, rather than follow her into the sauna. They throw people like him out of unisex saunas anyway. So he'll save it for a day on the beach - while he's hanging around, trying to get some fishing in but man, the fishing is terrible.]

Heh! I see you're back out to worship the Sun. Haven't had enough yet?

Let's try for the bikini on the beach because seeing a guy in a trench coat has got to catch her eye

[Tsuzuki was minding his own business, walking down the beach and admiring the ocean. This was kind of nostalgic for him, having lived in the southern parts of Japan for so long. Nothing out of the ordinary about that, right?]

[Well, how many people come to a day at the beach in a big, black, trench coat? This guy does. It might be apparent that he has either no sense of fashion or impressive tolerance to temperatures. Either way, the icing on the cake is he is wearing a dress shirt, slacks, and matching shoes to boot. To avoid stepping on the lovely lady sunbathing in his path though, the shinigami walks around her head.]

[Every time there's a beach, he gets stuck running after Roxas the whole time. The kid doesn't quite grasp the concept of "downtime" when there's something around he wants to do. He's managed to get a minute or two to himself when he notices Cynthia lounging around.

Lucky.

Well, there's a spare beach towel around, so no one's going to stop him if he flops down next to her and does his best beached whale impression. Hopefully there's strength in numbers and he can get a bit of rest.]

[Hey look, he's not fat! In fact, for someone that seems to eat nothing but sweets, Gaius is actually pretty well-built. He's not as ridiculously muscled as some people, but you don't do thieving and fight as a Shepherd in Chrom's band of vigilantes with a pot belly.

Of course, that doesn't mean that he's not without some sort of sweet or another in hand. Or in this case, in his mouth. The weather's warm and the sun is bright, so who's he to turn down a popsical? Naturally he might also have a few pieces of candy stuffed in the pockets of his swim trunks, because face it, it's Gaius.

He's out along the beach, feet stepping along the wet sand just where the water laps up after working out its wavy hype.]

[There's another tube floating down the way nearby...except it's empty. Not like she'll notice that right away.

Its occupant is half-submerged, half-floating along in the distance between the two points. Hiccup's nose reaches the surface first, snorting as he rises to take a breath of air. Paddling over, the small Viking grabs onto the edge of Cynthia's nap tube.

With his wet auburn hair in his eyes, it's hard to tell which tube is the unoccupied one.]

Beach party on the 25th

[Setting up a small party for the crew attracts attention, so it's entirely possible their relaxing, bonding time may be interrupted by beautiful people in swimsuits who want to taste the ice cream and dance around the bonfire with them. It would be rude to turn them away, right? Especially the girls in bikinis.

It's an actual party, though, and Gan Ning personally has seen to it that aside from Gaius' ice cream, nobody in his crew had to do the work. He has the money, after all, he can hire people to cook and serve food they'll all enjoy. It's a late afternoon/evening affair, with food and goofing off on the beach followed by a bonfire. Mingle!]

[Tsuzuki had noticed Gan Ning was up to something, and thanks to his nifty sneak abilities, he followed the captain all the way to the beach. What was he going to do with all that ice cream? The sweets-holic wanted to make sure there wasn't a purpose before he asked for some. Then...]

[His amethysts sparkled at the sight on the beach. Was this a party? What were they celebrating? Oh, new guy was always the last to know! He tried to find a spot to pop out of before shifting to normal. He literally appeared out of nowhere, if Gan Ning noticed. That was Ghost Mode for you...]

Hey! Gan Ning! What's the occation, my friend? That's a lot of ice cream you got there! Haha!

[Look it's another party! Parties are some of the best social experiments to watch really. Roxas does take some of the food, meat with a bunch of sweets but most importantly, ice cream and finds himself a chair on the fringe and settles into it. He sits backwards so he can lean on the back of it and watch people. Everybody looks like they're having a nice time.]

[It had been a lot of work, but Gaius was something of a perfectionist when it came to sweets, and he certainly didn't want to settle for runner-up when trying to get the flavors right for the seasalt ice cream that Roxas had been so fond of.

Work isn't something he generally minds, at least, but when it's a product like this, he's just as pleased to see people able to enjoy it. That's the pay off, right there.

...although if he has to be honest about it, he'd say it's about fifty-fifty between that and being able to enjoy the fruits of his labor.]

[Ariel was pretty happy that the party was beach side actually. It made it easier for her to get there. Which is the place she wanted to be, anywhere that the crew was. She is a creature of emotions and she falls for people very fast. Grows attached to a group fast, so it' no wonder she grew so attached to these people.]

[When one leaves, it's almost heart breaking, and they'd lost people, so she liked being around crew as much as possible.]

[SO have a green finned red headed mermaid on the beach, a blue and white stripped bikini top worn now. She's resting on a log around the bonfire, elbows on it and grinning, watching the fire dance. So this was fire. It was so warm. She'd sen it now that she had been here, but she can't help but be enchanted by it every time she can get close to it. Siiigh]

[Other then her bonfire watching, she stays out of water for the most part, seated here or stretchered out there and generally laughing at the locals or the crew and having a good time.]

[The Night Fury liked playing on the beach. Here the water was warm and the waves were a lot of fun to dodge when he wasn't barreling right into them. Anyone within the vicinity of the dragon was like to get doused by more than just the waves, given how much Toothless liked to splash.

When he wasn't romping about in the waves, then he was rolling about in the sand, and when he didn't want to be sandy, he was back in the water. Sometimes he'd take up chasing after the little crabs, although they'd always manage to scuttle into the sand or get lost in the incoming waves before he could catch them. Just as well.]

[Toothless, you are adorable. Giant, and adorable.

Gan Ning sits for a bit watching the dragon gambol across the beach, on one of those days when he's avoiding Cynthia because she doesn't seem to remember him or even notice him. It's harder to be happy even with the sun and surf, but watching Toothless play is helping.]

[Since he's technically the owner and best friend of this crazy Night Fury, Hiccup is the one to take most of the splash damage.

It's already hard enough trying to keep up with him with one leg; the sand makes it a little more challenging. He can't help but laugh, though.]

Ariel Catch All - AKA: Also not dead!

[THIS island she can handle better! There was water everywhere and water tubes too!? How cool was this? Flounder would have loved it.]

[You can find Ariel in places she could manage to get to herself. And once she finds a water tube or a water way, she will explore more. So water park? Very cool. Especially slip sliding through things!]

[Outside of it all? She explored the waters around the island itself. She drew herself up on the beach from time to time to sun soak. And oh look, she doesn't just have shells anymore. Someone introduced her to the comforts of cloth bikinis. She's got a blue and white stripped one on for most this trip.]

Beached mermaid will make his day

[Tsuzuki was minding his own business, walking the beach with a snow cone in his hand. He had gotten the treats while hanging with Roxas. Now, he was on his own. He just hoped he didn't get left behind because he got lost...]

[While walking a less populate portion of the beach, he found a sight he had only read about in books. There was a girl, lying on the sand. Red hair drying in the sun, and colorful scales glistening in the light... scales on the lower half of her body! Mermaid... Was that a mermaid?! Davy Jones, you have earned a point in his likable list for this one! He got to see a real mermaid!]

[Don't mind the guy gawking like a schoolboy at you Ariel. He's just having a mythology geek moment. He's even letting his snow cone melt...]
