[She won't ask if he doesn't ask about hers. She's completely aware that this is something most people aren't going to want to talk about at all. Ever. Except for maybe Namur, but nevermind about that for now. She folds her arms across her chest and huffs a little, it's pretty easy to tell just from her eyes how annoyed she is at the whole situation. It even carries over in her voice]

If I didn't know better...I'd say they were purposefully holding information from us. It already took me long enough to get this mask.

[It's probably all done just to troll newcomers too, she thinks]

I wouldn't be opposed to you doing that. [A pause from her] Burning the flowers, I mean.

[He chuckles a bit, though the humor behind that is quite dark.]

I don't know what goes through their minds, maybe they are so used to those flowers that they fail to see why others would have problems with them. Still, I'm not a guy nice enough to forgive that kind of ignorance.

[It makes him think of the Specters, of how they had been fooled by Hades, thinking that they would be granted a new life in the new and better world that he would create. Even when Pandora told him that, he had felt no sympathy for them, it was their own fault for being fooled by such an unrealistic idea. Had it been another god, he could have understood, but Hades was the God of Death, how could anyone think that he would create anything that wasn't a world of death?

He shakes his head, both at the memories and at the natives here.]

Glad to have your support there, but I won't do it, as tempting as it is. Last time I checked flowers release even more pollen when there's a fire, with our luck, if I burned it they would release enough pollen to fill the whole world.

[And then there would be nowhere to run to. At least not without masks.]

I still want to destroy them though, I don't want to think what could happen if someone crazy enough got their hands on them.

I don't know...But if they have enough sense to get the kids inside at twilight then they already know something is up. They should warn people.

[She states that last part so matter of the factly. They're selling masks specifically for the pollen too, even if she's wrong, Asami's convinced herself thus far that they just like messing with newbies.

Though Ikki is right about burning them. She doesn't want to risk polluting the air with anymore pollen than there already is. With a hand on her hip, she sighs and her gaze goes into the direction of the flowers]

That's actually a really troubling thought. I wish I could just make them vanish into thin air or something, that'll be the easier solution.

[But alas she's just a normal human]

I suppose we will have to be happy that they even sell those. Otherwise, we would have to make a run for the ship when night falls and stay stuck there, and for that we may as well be sailing to another place.

[Not to mention that he's not even sure if being on the ship would be safe, if wind picks up and carries the pollen to where it is...]

Mmm, how exactly is Korra's water bending right now? Drying them from all water could be an option, assuming that's doable with water bending. Or we could try to bury them all, they can't release pollen into the air if they are stuck underground, can they?

That's true. It'll makes things much more difficult, that's for sure and we really don't need that right now. But it's weird that they don't even bother to warn us, yet they sell the masks in the first place.

[Asami finds herself thinking on that part way too much, but she perks up when Ikki mentions the waterbending]

From what I can tell her bending is fine and waterbending should have no problem drying flowers out, but...I don't know how willing she'll be to want to leave the ship. [Being in a wheelcahir and all. She didn't want to force her out] I think you're on to something with burying them though. Bolin can do that with earthbending.

[A pause]

You haven't seen him around, have you?

I guess that making some sort of business tops over their wish to leave visitors to their doom by not warning them. Not enough to have them bother saying why they sell the masks even if asked, but enough to offer them if the visitors have half of a brain and connect the dots.

[He hums in agreement, to be honest he doesn't want Korra leaving the ship either, not because of the wheelchair but because of the stupid flower. Sure, it bloomed only at night and they could time it to be there only during daytime but what if someone had synthesised the pollen or something and used that to defend the flowers? Despite everything the villagers seemed quite proud of their little treasures born to ruin lives.

The fact that Korra is "sealed" to a wheelchair and is almost close to a shadow of what she used to be doesn't bother Ikki though. Neither does it bring back unpleasant memories, like how Seiya is in the same situation, except worse and dying while Ikki's playing pirate and sleeping with a crewmate. Nope, there's no relation at all.

He's pulled from his thoughts at the mention of Bolin and her question makes Ikki tense, fortunately it's not very noticeable as he's always tense. Does she know? The way she asks makes him think that she knows, but maybe he's just over thinking. Sure, he didn't tell Bolin to not talk about it but it's not as if the other would go running to tell someone, right?]

Not today, but I can tell that he's somewhere over there with Logan, or at least they are in the same area.

[He waves a hand dismissively in the direction of their Cosmos. Hoping that that's enough of an answer for her.]

I'm starting to think you're right...

[Asami shakes her head at that and sighs. It was one of the reasons she was worried for her friends. Well more so Bolin. As much as she valued his friendship, he wasn't really the type to catch on very quickly and...well, it usually got him into some kind of predicament.

With Korra it wasn't as much as a concern, but she still worried regardless. She doesn't take notice to the way Ikki tenses up when she mentions Bolin, but at the mention of him and Logan Asami can't help but make a strange face, going to tug at the sleeves of her jacket just because. She obviously isn't as good at hiding her emotions as him]

Um...I know we have the masks, but think now would be a good time to try and get as far away from those flowers as possible.

[Unlike Asami, he notices her reaction and while normally he wouldn't really think much of it, given the circumstances... He knows where Bolin was the previous night, so that leaves only Logan to be the one to make her react that way. He only entertains the thought a second before he focuses on both males' Cosmos again.

Hopefully, they got masks on them.

Ikki hums at Asami's last words, sending a glare all around them and noticing the people apparently starting to get ready for the night. It makes his stomach twist and he turns, grabbing one of Asami's hands to pull her along.]

You're right. With the way those guys are at worse the masks serve for nothing except fool people into a sense of security. Let's get you back to the ship and I'll go find Selphie.

[Even if she's with Namur, thanks to Asami's words he's getting a bad feeling.]

[Oh. It's that time again already? Asami would have thought they had more time, but apparently that isn't the case here. With people already herding others (namely kids) inside and what not, she has to tense up as she takes in her surroundings. But it's what Ikki says that makes her feel the most uneasy and as a knee-jerk reaction, she reaches up to plant a hand on her mask, trying to press it closer to her face.

Her other hand is gripped and she's pulled away by Ikki, stumbling a little in surprise]

Wow-! Wait...We're just leaving the others out here?

[Ikki didn't really pay much attention the night before, and he curses himself for it, for not noticing the signs at least to calculate properly how much time they have left. Still, he doesn't think people would start herding the children inside too close to the time the flowers opened, right? Kids were often troublesome with curfews and what not, even if used to them, it wouldn't be weird for one or two to require more time than others to be taken back home.

So they probably had some time left yet. Probably. Maybe. Does he really want to take the risk?

Ikki stops, turning just slightly and though most of his expression is covered due the mask, his eyes are still visible and it's quite clear that he's troubled. Does he want to just leave the others out there? No, of course not. They are nakama, his companions, his crew, his family. And he definitively doesn't want Bolin to end affected again, he just doesn't deserve it, neither does Logan or anyone for that matter. But, do they really have time for that? Wouldn't it be better to put at least Asami back where it's safe and then return for Selphie and the others?

One thing is clear, the more he hesitates, the less time they will definitively have.]

I'll return and try to get them all back. But I want to put you back where it's safe first, or do you really want to take the risk and come with me?

[Asami knows she said she wanted to get as far away from the flowers as possible, but with the whole pollinating thing seeming to come much more quicker than anticipated and the others still out there, she's starting to have second thoughts. Not that what Ikki said about the masks earlier helped settle her thoughts any better...

But yes, the more they delayed the less time they had, and she's sure they'd need all the time they could get. Her eyes are already a mixture of confliction and distress, and with her hand still pressed to her mask, she shakes her head a little]

I don't know. I just...don't want to feel like I'm doing nothing to help when I can.

[He growls in light annoyance, not really at her but at the whole situation.]

Fine. Fine. We have masks, we will be fine. Just fine.

[Even though he doesn't really want to bet all his money on the stupid masks at the moment. But he can't force Asami to go to the ship, can he?

Actually he could. Just throw her over him shoulder and move at light speed to drop her on the deck and return. But it wouldn't be nice and maybe she has some way to counter it... Or would just be an idiot and run back to the island to try to help rather than stay where it's safe.

He starts to move towards where he sensed Bolin's and Logan's Cosmos.]

Bolin and Logan are the closest ones it seems, let's go tell them off first... We probably don't have enough time to try to get to everyone, though.

[Which means that at some point they are going to have to quit this attempt to save others. Of course, that's betting on the masks working or the flowers not opening earlier than they expected, which is already happening but they should still have some time.]

[Asami chooses to ignore the growl and instead shakes her head. There's a slight skeptical pause from her before she finally lowers her hand from the mask and lets it rest at her hip. She then angles her head every which direction, trying to get a better sense of where they are right now and where all the flowers are located.

Ikki would have been right. If he did just force her back to the ship, she probably would have just left again to try to help out or something. She's wasn't brash in the least, but she could still be a bit naive at times. Like she is being now.

With a slow inhale, Asami follows right behind Ikki as they start to move in the direction of Bolin and Logan. Hopefully they can make it in time....]

Alright. As long as we get some of them then that's something, right?

[She doesn't like to hear herself say that, but not much can be done about that at the moment, she supposes]

As people say, it's better than nothing. And in war even just one life is worth the effort of being saved.

[And apparently now he's treating the situation as if they are in a war. Which isn't that inaccurate, really. They are racing against time, hoping to beat the flowers in reaching their friends and getting them away. It's not really that different from trying to outrun some enemy that wants their friends' heads and their own.

Except that if they fail this time they will end in a hotel bed instead of dead. To be honest, Ikki would prefer the option of dying and not just because he could come back.]

Keep your eyes open to see if you can spot them before me. I can tell the area they are in but there's too many people to accurately pinpoint it right away with my powers limited.

[He can do it but it would take a bit and the people are getting excited and looking forward for the flowers to open, which is causing extra noise. And they really don't have time for him to stop and concentrate.]
