Meanwhile, Crocker couldn't help but feel a little chipper than usual either because of the trip to the previous island and is looking forward to what this island has to offer, since none of them knew. It was a mystery! So, Crocker heads out with his steam punk microscope glasses and ready to see what magical mysteries there are!

Meanwhile, the man almost bumps into Selphie , "Opps. Sorry! Didn't see you there!"


With those strange steam punk glasses of his, he tends to lose sense of depth sometimes.

Selphie hadn't done much to prevent the almost collision because she was too busy staring at whatever the hell he was wearing on his eyes. She too was in a bouncy mood, and she giggled at his apology. "That's okay!"

Then, in a boldness that came from nowhere, she stepped closer and lifted the glasses so that she could peerly closely up at his eyes underneath, "Whatcha looking for anyway?"

[crackpotcrocker]

"At the moment -" Crocker takes out a screwdriver and tightens a screw on one side, "Still adjusting them from that battle when we all rescued Namur.... Otherwise- they're used to pick up magic readings. Usually - I'd say I'm looking for - fairies! But these goggles are for all kinds of magic."

Since Crocker has to adjust to a world that doesn't run on just fairy magic.

"And where exactly are you wandering too, mmm?"

[booyaka_boom]

"Aww, no, did they get broken?" Selphie looks mildly concerned by this, but she perks up at the mention of magic. "Really? What about when you look at me? Does it pick up my magic?" Because she is a magic user, after all.

"I was just going for a walk, exploring the island, seeing if there was any cool stuff to check out."

[crackpotcrocker]

"Just a bit from the fight..." Crocker shudders at remembering the fight that was had.

Denzel focuses the goggles on Selphie and after a moment hits the side of the device,

"YES! It does! Wait! What kind of magic user are you?!"

The man nods, "I was going to do the same but more for the fact of hopes of unwinding like we did on that last island. That was nice. FAIRIES!"

[booyaka_boom]

"Aww, that's too bad..." She continues to stare up at him with wide eyes, giggling after he hits the device. "Yay! I use all kinds of magic! But...I'm not a fairy."

She tilted her head at him, one way, then the other, for some reason really tempted to take his goggles off. "Wanna come walk with me?"

[crackpotcrocker]

"It's not your fault." As Crocker continues to turn the screwdriver on the side, "Oh believe me. I would know if you had been a - FAIRY! But that still doesn't answer -what are you?"

Denzel stares at Selphie behind those goggles which make his surprise eyes even bigger to an extant, "... This has been awhile..." A long while since he got asked to be walked along side with, "I guess? But don't think I like you or anything!"

Because he has someone or at least he believes so.

"I'm...a soldier. A SeeD, that's what we're called. That means I can use all different kinds of magic. Just a human - that's all."

She couldn't help but blush a little at his suggestion, shrugging her shoulders and shaking her head, "What? That - that isn't what I meant. Just a normal walk, you know. Not like, a romantic one..."

[crackpotcrocker]

"A Seed? What's a seed?" Besides something you put in the ground to grow something.

"Oh?!" Crocker's interest really seems to perk at that remark, "Oh, good! Because that would had been awkward if that was the case. Sure, I'll walk with you."

[booyaka_boom]

"We're soldiers. Mercenaries kinda. Back home, I was gonna ask if I could be an instructor, so that I could help train the little kid cadets!"

Selphie just stared at Crocker for a moment, then pulled a face at him as they started to walk. "What's so awkward about that? You should be grateful when a cute girl asks to spend time with you, you know."

"Eh, children. Another thing I, Mr. Crocker don't miss about home."

There's a pause as he starts speaking awkward again, "It's just - I haven't had that for awhile and I do like it's just - strange."

[booyaka_boom]

"There are children round here too, you know. Just not tiny ones. Unless there's a curse or something, that is."

Selphie laughs as they continue walking along, and she playfully nudges her hip into him, "Well, you better get used to it. You're on a crew full of cute girls, after all!"

[crackpotcrocker]

Denzel stares at that remark for a moment, "What do you mean their are children around here too? Just not 'tiny ones'?"

The man jumps to the side as Selphie nudges her hip onto his as he just continues to make awkward noises, "Which one of them wants anything to do with me I don't understand..."

"Well, it's not like any of us lot are making babies, is it? I've seen some local tiny kids, but not any of us people that have just been zapped here. Though I guess that would be a bit mean, dragging a random baby into all of this..."

She laughs at his reaction to her hip bump, and the noises he makes only prompts her to flash a wink at him, "You scared, mister?"
