He'd really rather not call her that either. At least, not yet. So he would nod and just try not to address her directly for a while. That shouldn't be too hard, right? He took another sip of coffee but either it was too hot or his tongue was too sensitive because it scalded a bit.

He considers her question. He doesn't really know and is about to say as much when he remembers the flower that they'd tucked in his belt. He pulled it out and considered it.

"We were around flowers before... things started happening. Do you remember that dust?" He twirls the stem between his thumb and forefinger. "And there are herbs that do things to people..." Though usually you had to smoke them first.

"The pollen..." She did remember it since the flowers released some right into her face.

"That has to be it, considering we did not drink or consumed anything before things happened. But I have never heard of a plant that could do that to people." Though it does explain a lot about the people on this island.
