Mini-Vacation from your Vacation, chere?
Who: The crew of the Stargazer & Rogue.
Where: The sea?
When: 10/01 - 10/08
What: Specifically, Rogue and Gambit have a good time in the rain. And other week shenanigans.
Warnings: Cute where it has no place being
Style: whatever
Status: Closed
The Stargazer is a humble little sailboat, enough room for three and right now they're at maximum capacity with an extra guest. Who is stuck on board for a week. While Gambit expects the Princess and Rogue to get along real good - he's not so sure about how the next seven days will pan out. They'll just have to find out...

god i hate them
He gently grasps the two fingers she rested against his lips in his hand and purses his lips against them - kisses them, for all intents and purposes. ]
I can take it, chere. Y'know I can.
[He tries not to sound like he's trying to pressure her but he...kind of is.]
they suck, seriously
[It's true. She knows what just barely brushing her cheek did to him in Louisiana, and there's no reason to suppose he'll stand it any better this time.]
You know better'n that.
[But it isn't so much an argument as a concern. There's a lot to worry about if she kisses him. Not only physically, but she's not sure she wants to know what goes on in his head. Or that he'd want her to.
No matter how bold he can sound about it.
She got in there once and didn't like what she saw. There shouldn't be any reason this is a trick or anything, but that concern will always stalk the corners of her mind.]
stupid babies
But then there was the fact that she'd probably never speak to him again if he did.
Gambit sighed, all resignation. He'd find out a way to get a kiss out of her he could be awake for somehow.]
Can't blame a guy for tryin'.

It wasn't the first time she hated what she was.]
Wish I could.
[Kiss him. Touch him. Touch anyone. Be touched.
The people who thought it wasn't so bad? People like Storm? Didn't know what it was like to live with something like this, day in and day out. Controlling the weather wasn't a curse. This was.
And it was so tempting. But what good was having a first kiss if the person she was getting it from was going to end up unconscious?]
But I won'. Won' hurt you.
no subject
No... y'won', will you?
[The disappointment is strong in his voice and he sighs as he steps back, breaking the contact reluctantly and unable to hide it now with the rain still soaking his clothes.
In this moment he was much more in love with her than the bizarre obsession he had with her in reality.]

[It's breathed more than it's said as she moves to replace her hand on his cheek. Touching him, stroking his cheek. Gentle. And not letting him pull away like he was trying to do.
Instead, she moves her hand against his cheek, turning his head toward her, maybe guiding it a bit down.
To meet her as she arched up to kiss him lightly.]
i cant
For a moment he doesn't register the pull in his skin that tells him he'll be passing out soon. He can only register the pillowy softness of her lips against his and then --
he's waking up with a mild headache and a small smile.]
Y'ain' gon' hit me are y'? [Remy mumbled, eyes still closed - sure Rogue was close. It wasn't as if he'd ever passed out for hours on end after touching her. It was a few minutes at most.]
Was yo' idea after all.
no subject
At least she was nice enough to drag him to his cabin?
She might be glaring at him. Just a bit. Her arms crossed over her chest. Because, yes, her idea. But his fault. Somehow.]
Wait 'til you dry off. Rain's fault, not mine.
no subject
Whatever y'have to tell y'self, chere.
...Ain' mad at me are ya?
[Remy looks awful concerned about her hating him for it. Somehow he's making the puppy dog eyes thing work.]
no subject
[Under the influence of the rain. That's her story and she's sticking to it. But, well. It's still true.
None of this is his fault.]
no subject
[And there he goes flopping back into his hammock with the dumbest grin on his face. Remy sighs like a lovesick Disney princess just because he's thinking about it. It wasn't even that great of a kiss! ]
We should do that again sometime.
[....It's hard to tell if he's still stupid from the rain or just...stupid. Period.]
no subject
Well, what Momma always said is true.
Y' can' fix stupid.
no subject
Rude.
[...Yes that's the best he can do when he's so ~in love~]
no subject
If there's a damn bit of it in your head.
[But she might be smiling. Just a bit. Which she'll deny if asked.]

[Remy grumbles and sheds his coat. At least he doesn't strip off his shirt?]
