Topsy Turvey
Who: Hazmats with special guest star Aokiji
Where: at sea, a Navy base in the west-southwest, then Turvey Top
When: seagoing Oct. 1-15 with a stop of about a day on the 9th to raid a Navy base, then Turvey Top from the 15th onward (tbd by October plots)
What: they need a new ship. They're going to steal one from the Navy and then take it to Turvey Top to get it refitted/hide out for a while. And deal with curses, plots, and witches. Also picking up a lost and lonely Kuzan at some point.
Warnings: not likely but let me know
Style: anything you want
Status: closed to whoever's under "Who"
The vacation was nice, but for a few days of Cynthia not remembering some of her friends, but it became clear by the end of it that Raphael wasn't coming back, at least not in the immediate future. They had to accept it and continue on, now without any of their turtle-pals who had brought them together as a crew in the first place.
Size of ship was not quite an issue, but the Hazardous Materials had gone through so many changes lately that there really was only one way for it. Gan Ning felt they needed a fresh start, and what better way than by procuring a new ship? They could christen it with a new name, though he didn't mind still being referred to as Hazmats in homage to the turtles who built the crew and were their friends. Besides, that was what the bounty posters called them, no sense in confusing that. A few casual inquiries around Aquatica Paradise uncovered the presence of Navy bases on small islands in this part of the world. But of course, what with that rumor of the frigate passing through on the current soon...
They set course for the base to do some real piracy. After that, though, they would have to see what island would come up on the escape heading. They could hide out there to refit the ship, make it their own. Little did they know they had found an island with a witch who was rumored to bless or curse even visitors...

misadventures. But someone's been promised some flight time, and on top of that, they'll get to burn things, how fun is that?! Hence why a certain Night Fury is wiggling his behind, eager to go and dive-bomb some boats, okay? Okay.

The viking kept an eye on where the remainder of his crew was during this, green eyes darting back and forth as they moved things along. He could carry some boxes. The small ones. The others he had to get help with. Thankfully, Toothless could push that extra weight around like nothing.
But yes, he did promise to fly with the dragon. While Ariel had the sea, they had the sky.
"All right, bud," Hiccup says to the overly-eager Night Fury, dusting his hands off as he half-runs over to him, "I think we're good!" Hopping up and straddling the saddle, the metal foot clicks into place, shifting the prosthetic tailfin into the right position.
"Okay. Let's go!"

While they wouldn't be able to get a good glimpse of Ariel as she did her work, save for the occasions she surfaced, and even then, barely, the mermaid would at least see their handiwork once they began. Once they got enough lift, all that would herald them would be this high-pitched whine, like a fading banshee scream before violet fire blossomed and shot out from the sky, exploding against the base of the mast of their first target.

Being in the air like this always gave them an adrenaline rush. After being weighed down by bogging thoughts, it was like being brought back to life.
And they were literally setting things ablaze.
A whoop and holler could have been heard among the ghostly shrilling of the Night Fury's flight path, choppy hair flying back as he looks for their next target. Guiding the dragon with his hands and feet, the pulling on the saddle handle and the shifting of pedal gears had its effects.
