Some days just don't go quite right.

In the Town Square, regarding the statue with its prophetic writings, stood an alicorn. She held her wings half-spread in a regal display state, and her horn shone with a golden light that mirrors the orb she's conjured to better throw the faded words on the statue into relief.

Between this and the journal, she could only guess what was afoot...

"...Have I stumbled into a Daring Do novel somehow?"

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the magic winged unicorn could talk. And did, to herself, it seemed.

That's quite all right, there's no need to stand on formality. [Please, please don't stand on formality, Celestia thinks but doesn't say.]

It should be quite an adventure. I admit I'm almost looking forward to this. A chance to metaphorically stretch my wings. [Which she also does literally, at that moment.]

I would say I've had enough adventure to last me a lifetime, but you know. I don't mind going on another, or two.

I might have said that when I was younger, but I have had a long lifetime since then. So this may actually prove to be fun.

Hm, I guess so. It might rock or it might turn out to be a total dud. [She keeps an eye on her surroundings as they didn't seem all that pleasant, she was keeping up guard just in case.]

[Sometimes Celestia can't help but sound like an old mom. It comes from the whole centuries-old-ruler thing.]

Effort is what I do best. Mind you making an effort in heels is even more amazing.

[Celestia is quietly wincing to imagine wearing those. Her poor pony ankles.]

[She nods, putting her foot down. She had kind of grown use to wearing heels everywhere. Back in the days she would wear sneakers mostly. How times have changed.]

Anyway, I think I had best go and take a better look around this place. Get a feel for it.
