She knows it's stupid to be here. To trust him. But no one else knows what card he put in her hand to try and kill her. Once he'd confirmed that for her, it hadn't been hard to put together a pack with the essentials she'd need. Besides, she needed to get away from the Spades.
With all of them going crazy and her own paranoia going into overdrive? She wasn't going to be any use to anyone. Not when half the time, she wanted to just give them all a tap and process her fears that way. They couldn't hide anything from her if she did that.
But she didn't want to do that. She didn't want to hurt them. So, leaving was the next best thing. Maybe she was taking after Logan too much. Leaving people for their own good. She'd... She'd have to talk to someone about that. or do something about it. Later.
For right now, she was comfortable enough running. Leaving the problem to be faced another day. Besides, easy as Gambit had been talking, there'd been something that suggested maybe her presence here could do someone a little good.
At least the Navs work fast. Even if they remind her just a little too much like the tech that powers the Eye of Ages. Make her just a little more sure that all of this has something to do with Apocalypse. Maybe a lot to do with him.

At least she didn't have that right now. She just had the people she'd touched since she came here to deal with.
And that question... Well. Like Hell she was answering honestly. That sometimes -- just sometimes -- when Sands got too loud, there was a sharp Cajun voice to tell him to shut up. Someone to back her up. Which was... weird. Knowing that was Gambit. Who'd tried to kill her. And kidnapped her. And been dumb enough here to kiss her.
"You shut up there 'bout as good as you do normally. Just as damn annoyin', too."
And yet. She was here. She'd come after almost no invitation, both to check on him and because she felt safe here. Because there wasn't anyone she could hurt. Gambit could hold his own against her, she was sure.

It's possibly the first and last time he'll use the English version of his favorite nickname for her, but he's feeling affectionate damnit. Getting a person back on board after Luna's...disappearing act...was more welcome than he'd care to admit.
"C'mon. I'll feed ya."
Plus he might have missed her. Specifically.

Which... isn't totally a joke. She hasn't forgotten that little 'road trip,' Gambit. But, well. She's here. Which says a lot more than she cares to admit, especially at the moment.

...He's kidding. Mostly. But if you think he's going to clarify that well...you're stupid.
Remy gestures down the steps into the galley like he's inviting her to dine at a five star restaurant and a grin that says you should not go in front of him.

"Y'know, if you were even half as charmin' as you think you are, you might actually manage t' make that not sound creepy."
Still not forgetting that you tried to kill her and then kidnapped her, Gambit. Even if she's here of her own volition now and the idea of a meal sounds pretty good.

Remy doesn't seem too bothered by the creepy accusation. It's true, he is pretty creepy. Remy starts pulling out bowls from storage and holds them both out for Rogue to take.
"Do think y'protest too much, chere."
Gambit resists winking, bare - ah, who are we kidding. He winks.
