[she's fished before but she doesn't really care for it] I'm too impatient for fishing, just let me drink, explore, and train and I'll be happy.

Exploring is fun. We can do that then. [he rolls a booger between his fingers] What kind of training?

[maybe it'll be interesting]

[she cringes at the act of booger juggling] Would you stop? That's disgusting.

No way I do what I want. I'm a pirate and that means freedom. [yep]

That doesn't mean you are 12 years old. [gross]

I'm nineteen. [makes a really big booger] It's a green one. [yes she can see that]

[grossed out] Ok enough of this, Where is your captain?

I'm the captain. [Don!]

[and flicks the booger away so it falls into the sea]

[still with a disgusted look on her face] Very well then. While I'm here I'll do what you need me to do.

Nothing! Hey listen! [he stands looking down at her with his hands on his hips] This is a pirate ship! You do whatever you wanna do! I'll do whatever I wanna do! Just have fun and enjoy adventures and life on the sea! It doesn't matter what you are or where you came from but you gotta live life as hard as you can!

[clearly not expecting that reaction she's startled and jumps a little at his sudden outburst] I almost see now why this crew follows you.

[she doesn't; but she might as well try get along with these people while she's here]

[But she doesn't see. Not yet. Maybe she can't yet. But that's okay. He crouches and looks at her over his knees]

It's been kinda hard cuz a lot of people have left. But don't give up and we won't give up on you, okay?

[she doesn't quite understand why he immediately started treating her like crew when she thought she's made it clear that she's probably not staying once they reach an island with a town]

Thank you I guess. Maybe we will get along.

Yeah maybe! [if she wants to go he won't stop her. But he kind of hopes she sticks around for a little while at least. Who knows?]

By the way, you're gonna sleep with the girls, right?

[he beat her to the question.]

I was just about to ask where I should put my things. It makes no real difference to me.

Wherever you want. You can even have a bed or a hammock. [Guess which he prefers]

Sounds good to me. I guess I'll be sleeping in the women's quarters.

It smells good in there. Must be cuz they wash a lot. [which just isn't worth it in his opinion]

[that sounds much more appealing than the alternative] That will be nice seeing how I'm going to be stuck here for a while

Yeah but hey listen this situation is kinda weird so you don't gotta be stuck here if you don't want. [he watches her]

Just... [he sighs heavily] Just try to have fun.

[trust does not come easily to her but a small glimmer of it was starting to come]

I am grateful for the help, and I'll try to entertain myself. [she grins for a second] Maybe later you can show me how that stretching works in a fight?
