It had been hard to leave the S.S. Mignon (and Mitsuhide spent a lot of time thinking about the crew still aboard that ship), but it had been for the best. The young ones had been taught enough to take care of themselves, so getting a ship that Motochika could choose and then be Captain of had to take priority. His skills were wasted in any other position, and besides...
Mitsuhide knew his friend would be much happier now that he was in the role he had always had when stepping aboard a ship. Motochika was already walking around the not-quite finished vessel like he owned it, and would no doubt feel much comfortable being the one to give out orders rather than receive them.
Today, Mitsuhide was not on the ship himself, but stood beside it in Isla Empieza's shipyard where it was still moored. There were still a few things that needed to be done before the newly-named Koumyou became a vessel truly suited for their needs (and in truth they needed to make sure of their numbers as well), but she was a fine ship and something for Motochika to be very proud of indeed. They could sleep on her as well, which meant the hostel was not a necessity even while they were stuck on the island.
So now was a good time to finally meet Rin, and that was who Mitsuhide waited for. The samurai was certainly distinctive even in the crowds in his traditional Japanese wear, thigh-length hair blowing slightly in the breeze and hand resting idly on the hilt of his sword.
He looked - and felt - relatively calm, by his current standards.
