Where: Isla Empieza: Town Square and Harbor.
When: October 11th, from morning to afternoon.
What: Zelda awakens and starts exploring the island.
Warnings: None.
Style: Starting with prose, but will match.
Status: Open.
• Town Square (Morning)
Waking up in a place unlike anything she had seen before was quite obviously a strange experience, yet it was oddly familiar. She couldn't help but be reminded of the day when the black tornado had taken her to the surface and subsequently changed her life. Today was different however, as she was not alone. Next to her was standing a tall, big blue bird. The animal looked quite friendly and indeed, he had been her dear friend for many years-- Needless to say, finding the loftwing here was quite a pleasant surprise. She petted the bird for a moment, observing the journal she had just found and looking around her to see if she recognized anything or anyone.
The architecture of the town did not look like anything she had seen back in her homeworld, be it in the heavens or on the surface. Given her strange method of arrival, she had to consider the possibility she was no longer in the Land of Hylia-- Or at the very least she had to be stranded in parts unknown. She remembered the words she had heard moments ago in her mind, a passage in particular having caught her attention: rebuild the gem and whatever ye wish will be.
No matter in what ways she worded it, the description of that gem was strikingly similar to that of the Triforce-- Too similar for her liking. But certainly this could not be the golden power of gods, for it was safe and under protection. At least it had been when she last saw it. ... Was it still? The worries had to show on her face, as the Loftwing moved closed and looked down.
"Don't worry, I'm sure everything will be alright." she said to the bird and smiled, before turning to see if there was anyone nearby kind enough to answer her questions, and they'd be numerous. After a moment hesitataion she'd approach someone, if she wasn't approached first. "Hrm, excuse me..?"
• Harbor (Afternoon)
After having gotten some information, Zelda decided to ride the loftwing in order to explore the island. She flied close to the beach, but unbeknownst to her the bird had been left unable to carry her weight for more than a few minutes following the transfer in this world; hence requiring an emergency landing.
After the bird crashed near the shipyard she knelt next to him, tending as to its wounds. Thankfully, the bird looked more exhausted than actually hurt, but using it as a mean to travel was now out of the question. But it was the lesser of her worries.
"I'm sorry friend, I didn't think you would be unable to carry me." she said as she took care of its wings "Are you alright?"

He grinned and jogged over to stand in front of the bird and try to get it's attention. Unfortunately, he was small enough the bird couldn't see him while it watched Zelda.
So he tried jumping up and waving his arms.
...That didn't work.
Link frowned and looked around for something to stand on.
...No such luck.
Finally, with a big deep breath to fuel his shout, he yelled "HEY! LISTEN!" at the bird at the top of his lungs.
Navi had taught him that one.

And thanks to the goddesses, unlike the extremely rare breed of Kaepora-Gaebora©, they couldn't speak. Or at the very least, this one couldn't. Zelda was so absorbed in her conversation with one of the passerby that she didn't notice the tiny heroes' attempts at communicating with the bird-- Neither did the Loftwing really.
Yet the "Hey Listen" immediately caught its attention. The bird emitted a low shriek and finally looked at the tiny hero, lowering its head to take a closer look at him. It was obviously very different from the owl, but he looked as friendly as him.
"Hum?" Zelda turned around as the noises caught her attention and looked down at the loftwing and the little boy-- But didn't interrupt them just yet. ... His tunic made him look like a child version of Link. But this was impossible, right? Link would have known what Loftwings were, even if he were that small. But she couldn't help and smile at the sight of teeny tiny Link.

Maybe he wanted a ride on the loftwing? And admittedly she was curious as to why he looked so much like Link.
"Do you need something?"

Link looked up at Zelda

"Aww, don't be sad." she spoke softly and put a hand on his shoulder reassuringly, before briefly looking back at the loftwing. "Listen...? He can listen to you but he won't be able to answer. Not with words." She nodded at the loftwing who lowered its head further, its beak now at arm reach "See?"

Link shook his head and gave a soft smile before reaching over to pat the bird on the beak. It was his mistake. Not the bird's fault. After a moment, he sighed and started to walk off, giving a wave.
damn, all these goddesses crashlanding in on their birds...
Doing his best to hide his shock, Link approached the young woman.
"Are you all right?" His words mimicked her own, as he eyed the girl and the great, blue bird by her side.
pfff it's a most ancient hylian tradition
"I am, but I'm worried for my friend here. I think I may have pushed him too far..." she said and before long turned to briefly look at him with a smile "But thank you fo-- Link!?"
... No, it was not Link. He shared many similarities with her childhood friend and wore similar clothes, but he clearly was not Link. Or rather it would be more accurate to say, he was not the incarnation of the hero she had grown with.
You'd think after having met the tiny bitty incarnation of Link she would have expected that, but the sight of the ancient hero left her shocked all the same-- Because she remembered him. A faint memory from another life, literally, one of many she had regained during the quest to stop the demon king. And it was a memory that was both pleasant and terribly painful.
shame on me, for making fun of its sacredness...
"I... May I ask your name?" The similarity was shocking! Bright, blonde hair and blue eyes, her facial features, her build... Everything about her said Hylia. Except for her youth. A goddess could not age...
What was this?
no subject
"My name is Zelda." she replied and then remained silent for some seconds, looking down and taking care of the loftwing. It made little doubts he had recognize the similarities between her and her past self.
"... I suppose you must have many questions."
no subject
"What do you know of the White Goddess Hylia?" He supposed he should start at the beginning.
no subject
Well, her reaction would tell him all he needed to know.
"That is a remarkable creature."

She obviously did not recognize the tall man, but she nodded and smiled politely to his words.
"Isn't it?" she spoke on a cheerful tone before turning back to the loftwing and petting it once again "It is called a Loftwing and he is a dear friend of mine."
no subject
"I have a similar beast at home. Loyal and intelligent. Sadly, recently lost as well." The Boy in Green. "Take good care of this one. It would be a shame to lose a friend as this, in a place where there are so few friends to be found."
[Afternoon]
"Oh, no!"
Running off the docks and down to the beach, she got close enough to hear the rider ask the bird if it was all right. "What about you? Are you all right, too?" she asked, puffing a little from her run.
no subject
"I am fine, thank you." she replied quickly, though it was only half true. While her fall had been softened by the loftwing efforts, she was still in quite a bit of pain-- But as long as she did not have any difficulties moving her arms, she figured it was nothing important. That and the Loftwing's health was more important in her eyes.
"But I'm worried about him. We've done this countless times before and it never happened before, I don't understand what's wrong."
no subject
"I don't know anything about birds," she admitted. "But did he seem weaker? What happened up there?"
She ignored, for a second, the flash of pain that crossed the other woman's face. They'd talk about that in a bit.
