Who: Hubert & Asbel Lhant (to be joined by Piers some time later).
Where: Isla Empieza: Town Square.
When: Starting off October 12, super-late afternoon, to be timeskipped to tomorrow or Monday.
What: A sudden reunion of two brothers in agalaxy town far, far away.
Warnings: None.
Style: Lhant-style.
Status: CLOSED.
[The words jolt Hubert out of a slumber he didn't even know he'd fallen into.
Heart racing, he snaps back to consciousness and glances around.
This...isn't Lhant. Actually, this isn't even Windor, right?
Well, wherever it is, it doesn't look safe at all. He needs to go find his father and Prince Richard, but...everyone looks scary, like they'll yell at him if he tries to ask them for help. Or worse.
Clutching Asbel's good luck charm in his hand, Hubert gulps and timidly shuffles off to explore the town...]

[So he's been exploring the area, calling out her name, and asking if anyone's seen a girl with bright purple pigtails. He never imagined Barona would be so ugly, and whenever he says so, people seem to look at him weird and try to tell him about some "Aye-la Impeeza" like he should know what it is.]
[By now he's pretty frustrated. Asbel stands in the middle of the dirty street with his arms crossed, tapping his foot.] Sophieeee! Come on, Sophie, we need to stick together if we're ever gonna find out anything!
...Agh! Where could she have gone? I can't see the castle from here either. [He slumps.] Dammit...

But Hubert can't find it in him to be indignant or upset. In fact, he's relieved beyond belief.
First, though, he's gotta figure out where Asbel is...Hubert turns and begins running in the direction of where he thinks he heard his brother. Please don't let this be a trick, please don't let this be a trick...]

[There isn't much point in standing around sulking that Asbel can see. He's heard that bit where you're supposed to stay put when you're lost plenty of times, but being in one spot for too long is practically the same thing as torture in his book. Okay, then. He'll just have to look harder! Sophie and Richard and Hubert are all around here somewhere, after all.]
[Setting his jaw, Asbel pumps a fist in the air and starts off down the road again.]
All right. Time to get serious. Now where would I be if I was...
[He looks to the left, and then to the right, and then waitaminute. That speck in the distance. Isn't that--]
Hubert?!
no subject
[That speck in the distance? Is now currently barreling towards Asbel at top speed. This kid sure can motor when it comes down to it. He has to take a moment to catch his breath once he's within reasonable talking distance, though, which is good because otherwise he might have done something embarrassing like hug his brother in relief, ew. For the moment, he's hunched over with his hands on his knees, panting.]
H...how d-di...you...
[One thing at a time, little bro.]
no subject
You should probably try to breathe first, Hubert. But I guess you wanna know how I got here, huh? [He flashes a cocky grin, already working up a tall tale about his exploits - when suddenly it hits him.]
...Where's Dad? Don't tell me he went off to bow and scrape for the king.
no subject
I-I don't know! I just woke up here...I haven't seen Dad or Richard anywhere...
[And none of the locals will talk to him. ...or rather, Hubert can't find the courage to talk to any of the locals.]
no subject
[Unless his father went to take Richard home, which'd make sense, but why would he just leave Hubert? He knows what a huge scaredy cat he can be. Besides, something's screwy about this whole "woke up" business.]
Sophie was with me on the boat, and I can't find her anywhere either.
no subject
I don't even remember what happened. We were just riding in the transport, and then...
[ -- and then what? He "woke up" here but...who kidnapped them? And why would they just abandon them -- or at least Hubert -- in the middle of town like this? He supposes it's being better than waking up tied up in a cellar or something, but...]
Asbel, do you remember what happened before you got here? [Aside from I'M ON A BOAT MOTHERFUCKER.]
no subject
Of course, I remember; I was grounded, Hubert. So I went to my room. [Can you even believe that?] Once things got real quiet, Sophie busted the door in and we left for the port. We were gonna surprise you guys. But along the way something must've happened...
[Because the boat's gone and he's here. Folding his arms, Asbel scrunches up his face.]
And then you woke up, right?
no subject
Hubert nods.]
Yeah, but I don't even remember falling asleep...
[He glances around.]
Do you think this has to do with what happened to Richard? With Bryce and all?
[Seems to be the obvious conclusion to draw.]
no subject
Hmmmmm... [Tap-tap-tap goes Asbel's foot along with a hum of frustration. He's not the greatest thinker here, so his brain's overheating.] I dunno! There'd have to be a ton of people involved to attack both groups at once, right? This is getting really weird... But we need to find Sophie and Richard - pronto!
[Except he has no clue where to look for them.]
Say, do you remember hearing any words in your head while you were passed out? Like really bad poetry or something? [Actually, all poetry's bad but whatever.]
no subject
but it's true, comic books are better]Huh? O-oh. Yeah...I did. It sounded pretty scary, didn't it?
[Though it's weird that they both heard it.]
no subject
Comics are okay. They have pictures.]No, not scary. More like just plain confusing. Was what you heard about a ruby, and wishes, and some guy named Davy Jones?
no subject
Do you think that was the voice of whoever kidnapped us?
no subject
Dunno. Maybe! But whoever it was, we need to figure out what's going on here. And we should probably stick together, too.
no subject
Y-yeah. [Hubert huddles a little closer to Asbel, the good luck charm still in his hand. Which Asbel may or may not notice.]
no subject
Follow me, Hubert! We'll have this mystery figured out and our friends back in no time!
[And there he goes. Marching off in a direction. Probably towards the seedier part of town because he just came from the other way.]
no subject
[Hubert made the mistake of heading down that road and asking a lady from there for help. She told him to scram if he didn't want to meet the business end of her dagger. :( ]
no subject
[Uh oh.]
no subject
I really don't think that's a good idea! They're...they're going to kill us if we talk to them!
[Or worse!]
no subject
...Are you sure about that, Hubert? We're just gonna ask them. I've never heard of someone getting that mad over being talked to before.
[But he does get the feeling that maybe this is one of his less good ideas. Dragging Hubert after him would be kinda tough, too.]
no subject
[I mean, who does that, seriously? Hubert will follow his brother into damn near anything, but that doesn't mean he won't question Asbel's wisdom (or lack thereof) before doing so.]
no subject
[Who even does that! WHO EVEN DOES THAT!]
[He'd kind of like to give this lady a piece of his mind for messing with his little brother, but on the other hand maybe they should avoid ladies with knives altogether.
Ladies with knives are always bad news.]no subject
Come on. Let's go somewhere else...
no subject
All right...fine. We won't go that way.
So, where to? There isn't anything very interesting back there either. [He gestures behind him.]
no subject
[They can't very well stay out in the open air, after all.]
no subject
Okay. To the inn it is, then!
