Spade Pirates - Isle of the Heartless

Warnings: None so far. Can be updated if it gets violent, etc.

Status: OPEN to crew, CLOSED to people teleporting in unless there's permission!

[This will be a general catch-all post for mingling! I'll just toss in weather for the next 2 weeks.]

10/16 - 10/20 [AT SEA, SAILING SOUTHWEST] - We'll mingle at our leisure! Ace's Devil Fruit power will push the weather at bay a little and it'll be mostly sunny skies. Also, they may encounter a ghost ship... OK, they will.

10/21 - 10/22 [ARRIVAL TO HEARTLESS ISLAND, LEAVING ON THE 22ND] - You guys can't blame Ace for a hasty escape this time!

10/23 - 10/25 [AT SEA, SAILING ?????] - The crew will be dealing with a sudden squall pending the arrival of a hurricane from the other side of the Heartless Island. As the crew may have to put everything into avoiding the hurricane, their course will be a bit... off.

10/26 - 10/27 [STONE NEST / KRAKEN NEST] - 'Nuff said. They'll leave once it becomes apparent they have nothing else to gain from being there. The weather, upon leaving, will likely be sunny because of Ace.

10/28 - 10/31 [FREE SAILING, MAYBE ISLAND #3'S INITIAL JOURNEY] - Barf. Ghost ships Round 2!

[Natsuno frowns a little at Selphie. Besides, what if people didn't know? That wouldn't go over well.]

*Selphie pouts a little at that first comment*

Why not? Don't you think my blood would taste nice?

*She changes though, to give an understanding smile*

Alright. Don't worry about it. We can leave that out of your list of duties for now.

I'm...sure it would. I don't exactly want to be what I am. I don't want to bite anyone. It's not personal.

[Ace stretched out his shoulders and held his arms out, limber.]

I'm not gonna be unfair or anythin'. You ever been in a fight?

[hiken]

Thatch... More roasted potatoes... [Speaking in his sleep, Ace's jaw went slack and he snored a bit--since he was a giant mouth breather, after all. When Selphie put herself on him, he shifted and grunted.

For a moment, he looked troubled in his sleep.]

No... I don't wanna... style my hair like yours...

Yo, Aya! [Ace was stretching his arms and legs a bit, readying himself for his lessons. Throwing a few shadow punches, Ace stopped and squatted down, gesturing over towards the other young man.]

You comin' to watch or take a few pointers?

[hiken]

Ehhh? Whatever, I'll dry you off when we get back. You can't sit on the ship every time, Marco!

[Why bother being a pirate if you were gonna complain about getting wet?

Ace just sort of reached over to try and grab Marco--]

[Lowering the 'Striker' down into the water, Ace overlooked a large portion of a flooded over river leading up into the mainland. Fortunately, going upstream a river in his personal fire-raft wasn't an issue. As Ace jumped down onto the Striker, he noticed Selphie walking along the banks and towards the island.]

Yo, Selphie! Goin' to explore?

[Switches to bird mode and pecks him.]

[Best friends.]

*The first comment roused Selphie slightly, who frowned in her sleep, aware of being disturbed by something. She tries to ignore it, but then she's sure someone is talking about hair. Selphie opens her eyes, and when she realises what that is she's sleeping against, there's a loud, piercing scream, and Ace is shoved hard out of the hammock*

[Natsuno has to think about it. Did any of the things he did count as fighting?]

I hit a vampire in the head with a shovel once.

*Selphie, as per her usual, was just minding her own business when she heard the shout. She came to a sudden stop and gave a salute that turned into a wave*

You betcha, I am! I wanna find... I dunno, awesome stuff!

[booyaka_boom]

*Selphie smiles at that - apparently quite pleased with this answer*

Oh! Well, that's okay then!

I'm certain you don't want to be bitten, at the same time. I didn't. It's not something that would offend me.

[Natsuno is a little comforted to see her smile, but all the same, smiling back is not his thing.]

[Aya raises a hand to him in greeting, watching him warm up.]

I'll watch for now. [Sure, he had gotten better with hand to hand combat, but he was far better with a sword.]

Perhaps. [Aya only smirks at her response. She was playing the ruthless slavedriver well, even from her crate.] Thanks for the list.

*Apparently thinking that her scary role was over, Selphie broke into a large smile*

*She laughs a little, probably more at herself than anything else*

Did you find the meeting useful?

Ya know, for knowing all about how to go about your cleaning duties!

*Nah, there wasn't much else, she just wants to know that her awesome speech went well*

H'oh. [That sounded a little like himself. Ace admired a man who could make unorthodox things into decent weapons.]

If you feel comfortable with a shovel, you could use one from the supply room. Better to do what you know, right?

[Ace, of course, landed on his neck which cushioned the fall and saved his body. One foot still somewhat locked in the hammock, Ace woke up slowly and stared at the ceiling.]

...Why'd I fall outta bed?

[hiken]

Ah, you sure? Everyone's lookin' a little shy--or, they're just chattin'. Might as well pass the time, right?

[THAT WAS HIS FACE--HIS BEAUTIFUL FACE

Then, Ace just reached over to punch the sparkly bird man in the cheek.]

Why don't I head out with you? I was just gonna sail around and check for Navy patrols, but that sounds a bit more fun. [He set fire to his heels and there the Striker went, sailing straight up the river to where Selphie was. When he got to the non-flooded end of the bank, he dragged the Striker over to a tree and fastened it.]
