[This will be a general catch-all post for mingling! I'll just toss in weather for the next 2 weeks.]

10/16 - 10/20 [AT SEA, SAILING SOUTHWEST] - We'll mingle at our leisure! Ace's Devil Fruit power will push the weather at bay a little and it'll be mostly sunny skies. Also, they may encounter a ghost ship... OK, they will.

10/21 - 10/22 [ARRIVAL TO HEARTLESS ISLAND, LEAVING ON THE 22ND] - You guys can't blame Ace for a hasty escape this time!

10/23 - 10/25 [AT SEA, SAILING ?????] - The crew will be dealing with a sudden squall pending the arrival of a hurricane from the other side of the Heartless Island. As the crew may have to put everything into avoiding the hurricane, their course will be a bit... off.

10/26 - 10/27 [STONE NEST / KRAKEN NEST] - 'Nuff said. They'll leave once it becomes apparent they have nothing else to gain from being there. The weather, upon leaving, will likely be sunny because of Ace.

10/28 - 10/31 [FREE SAILING, MAYBE ISLAND #3'S INITIAL JOURNEY] - Barf. Ghost ships Round 2!

Why don't I head out with you? I was just gonna sail around and check for Navy patrols, but that sounds a bit more fun. [He set fire to his heels and there the Striker went, sailing straight up the river to where Selphie was. When he got to the non-flooded end of the bank, he dragged the Striker over to a tree and fastened it.]

[booyaka_boom]

Okay! But you better not get us into too much trouble... *She smiles, slightly teasing, but there's an edge that suggests that she means it*

[hiken]

Ehhh!? That's unfair! That's the whole point of adventure, ain't it!?

[He was playing around, but then--... Was he?]

Well... I guess it is. I like trouble as much as the next soldier, but only in reasonable doses, ya know?

*Selphie grins then gives her nunchaku a bit of a twirl*

Alright then, so where to now?

Well... [Ace paused, attempting to put his Observation to use. Despite the fact that he thought it was ineffective because he felt so many presences, Ace had actually done it correctly for once.]

Weird. I thought I felt a lotta people hanging around here, but I guess I'm wrong. We'll head north and see if there's a town nearby.

[booyaka_boom]

Round here?

*Selphie arches a brow at that, glancing around and seeing not a lot of anything*

Sounds as good a plan as any! If there is a town, I seriously hope that it has chocolate cake... In good supply.

*And she does actually sound pretty serious about that*

Chocolate Cake? [Ace pulled up his pack from Striker as he began to walk with Selphie. He strapped it around his shoulder and arched a brow.]

I dunno about that. I don't smell smoke at all around here.

[booyaka_boom]

Oh... But what would be the point in even having a town if people didn't have cake there? It doesn't have to be chocolate, I'd settle for any kind right now.

*Selphie sniffed the air for signs of smoke, eyes still roaming and taking everything in as they walked*

I dunno. Some people I've met haven't even seen a cake, before. Not everyone learns that recipe.

[--Plus...]

And, some places lack the ingredients. Or, they have other kinds of desserts. I think the people in the Wano country would probably rather have liquor than sweets.

[booyaka_boom]

Wait, what?! *Selphie actually stops in her tracks as she processes this, and shakes her head as she continues walking along* That is so sad... I didn't even know that there were really people in the world who'd never had cake.

*Have an amused brow raised*

Liquor instead of cake? Both together would be best!

Ah, the Wano people? I don't think they eat or drink for fun or anything. They do things to look honorable or teach themselves discipline.

I think they'd prefer not having fun to having fun.

[booyaka_boom]

Wow.. That really is sad...

*She sounds full of pity for these people*

If I ever meet any, I'd give them a big hug and take them dancing!

They'd hate that, too! They're the ritual-suicide types, y'know. Anythin' they think that would dishonor their lines has gotta be stamped out--that kinda thing!

I think they'd rather just fight, drink and pray.

[booyaka_boom]

Ritual suicide? *She visibly shudders at the thought* So fighting and drinking are okay, but any other kind of fun isn't? I don't think I could live like that. No wait, I know for sure I couldn't live like that...

[hiken]

I'm sure they think it's fun in its own way. Y'know, like... masochism? I think that's how it goes.

[He couldn't claim to fully understand, but he knew it wouldn't have mattered to the Wano people.]

Ah? [Ace stopped walking, hearing rustling off in the forest, along with a few splashes. When he looked towards it--there was nothing.]

Eww... *Now Selphie is somewhat reminded of the conversation she had with Logan about people liking women with bruises. This is totally not the same though, she's sure* These guys aren't about to just jump out a bush at us, are they?

*Selphie stumbled into Ace as she stopped too, eyes slowly scanning the area* Did you hear something?

Wano people? They'd never ambush. A wano warrior would probably announce himself and ask you for a duel.

[Sneaking would be a sin among them. They were the archetype of stereotypical serious samurai, he supposed.]

It was too small for one of 'em, anyway. Must have just been a rabbit or squirrel.

*Selphie laughs a little at that and lifts her nunchaku to give them another twirl - a duel is definitely something she'd be more comfortable with*

Well that's all okay then! This adventure is kinda boring so far, though. At least if there was a town or something to explore -

*But then she stops too, glancing around for the cause of whatever make the sound she thinks she heard*

Maybe the rabbit is following us...

Probably. Then, I guess I could do somethin' about our problems.

[The rabbit and the boredom alike. Ace turned nonchalantly and fixed his fingers into a pantomime of a pistol.

He aimed his index finger at the forest and shot off a fire bullet into it, causing much more shuffling to go off. There were many more 'rabbits' hidden away.]

*Really, she hadn't been expecting that, so she jumped a little and laughed. It was quite impressive after all*

Very cute. Just don't burn down the island.

[Ace squinted in the direction of the forest he messed with.]

It doesn't stay hot as fire the entire time it flies. I can shoot just air if I wanna.

[Not that he could even explain how. Still, Ace was more focused on the forest.]

It's not just one, now.

Really? So, can you, like, make anything out of fire if you wanted? Could you make little fire bunnies to go chasing after those other ones?

*Lots of questions, but she likes fire and she's curious about the different powers that others are capable of*
