There's ghost ships off the port bow
Who: Link and the crew of the Charming Murderess
Where: At sea
When: During the Fog
What: Event Shenanigans and people hiding from their own crew
Warnings: People being cursed, people attempting to eat each other
Style: either
Status: Semi-open
[It was night, of course. The sun hadn't risen in days and everything was night. The orange moon sat across the horizon, barely visible through the fog. Just enough to know it was there. Like it was watching the sea and those on it.
Link was on the bow, trying to find anything worth seeing in the fog when he spotted the other ship. It came up fast and he had only enough time to let out a loud 'HA!' in warning before it was grazing silently against the side of the Murderess. The shambling ghosts that crewed it oblivious to the living crew they were now so close to. Unbridled curiosity got the better of the young hero and he was soon jumping across to investigate the strange sight.
When he returned, a short time later, he was moving slower than normal, but otherwise seemed fine. At least until he encountered someone and attempted to start chewing their leg off.]

WHEN SUDDENLY.
In the misty fog, he sees the monkey.
The monkey he's already not much a fan of (he suspects the feeling is mutual).
And my, he's looking extremely skeletal today!
So he just comes to a dead halt and stares.]
.....

He'd forgotten he was on the other Jack's crew. Honestly, his namesake has no taste at all.
And he's rude enough to stare, as though he's never seen an undead monkey before. Rude. Jack makes a noise before dropping to all four feet, arching his back like a cat as he slinks closer. C'mon, Draco, he's still cute, right? Of course he is. Don't you just want to pet him or give him a peanut?]
no subject
Draco skips back a step or five, putting all his effort into NOT drawing his wand.]
BACK, DEVIL MONKEY. For god's sake, what's happened to you?
[...It occurs to him that he doesn't really want to be anywhere near the monkey when it's found like this. It wasn't his fault.]
no subject
He inches closer when Draco backs away, back still arched oddly until the stupid idiot goes and calls him a devil monkey.
And with that, he screeches loudly, baring his already exposed fangs, before skittering back and up.
Right onto his master's shoulder, who's finally decided to come over and see what Jack is doing about the fog.
The captain Jack, that is. Not the monkey, who's now clinging to his shoulder, giving Draco the evil eye from his skeletal little face.]
The funny thing about the gold, Mister Malfoy? Jack here be a fine example of what is, as you said, wrong with it.
no subject
[Didn't just jump like four feet in the air, what?
He brushes himself off a bit just to give his hands something to do, then shoots Barbossa a dark look.]
Must you just appear like that? I really feel that we should all be carrying bells in this fog.
[Redirects his gaze to the monkey. He's temped to give it the evil eye right back, but, well. Barbossa.]
You see, I knew it wasn't normal! I doubt you'd have even asked about it otherwise. Pirates wouldn't just alert everyone else to treasure being about, right?
no subject
But at first he says nothing, reaching in a pocket of his waistcoat to find a peanut, before holding it up to the skeletal little monkey. Jack takes it, though he doesn't eat it just yet. He'll wait, of course, until he has a stomach for that, as he's very much lacking one at the moment.]
Really? Because to be honest, mate, being a pirate's not about the treasure. [And it's really not. Money is a lovely thing to come by, but that's only a part of living the life of a sea-bound outlaw.] Besides, I thought you said you had plenty of your own.
[A pause.] Where you're from. Do you even have two gold pieces to rub together here, I wonder.
no subject
Two pieces, yes. [Sighs.] But only the two. I had two galleons left in my pocket when I arrived here, I'm not even sure what they'd be worth in this world.
[Crosses his arms.]
Anyway, we don't really have pirates where I'm from anymore—not like this. So I'm not well-versed on what it is or isn't about.
