Go to the fountain, read for yourself.
That's what the first page of of the stupid journal Captain Marvelous had awoken with said. Though highly perturbed - he did not like being yanked out of his world and randomly tossed into another, an event that was far too common in his life for comfort - he begrudgingly did so. It's not like he really had much to go on, anyway.
His Mobirates wasn't picking up a signal. There was no sign of his crew, nor the Gokai Galleon. The last thing he'd remembered, he was on his ship and then... here.
The locals weren't terribly helpful in figuring out what was going on, but that seemed to be par for the course for his luck. He approached the center of town purposefully, but all told he'd kept his cool fairly well so far.
Again, he'd done this sort of thing far too many times.
The state of this fountain was ... unimpressive, to say the least. As he pocketed the journal in his coat, he strolled around it until he took note of the inscription. It took a few moments to grasp its meaning, but when it did, there was just the slightest, brief sparkle in his eyes underneath his otherwise dour looking demeanor.
"I wonder," he muttered aloud, "if I could wish to put my boot up the ass of whoever dragged me here."

"While I understand the sentiment, sounds like a perfectly good waste of a wish. Don't wish for something you could just do yourself." She sneered like a smug snake.
"Nice coat." She was sincere, though whether it came through or not, well, who knows.
no subject
"Maybe. But the whole 'wish granting' business ain't usually all it's cracked up to be."
He paused for a second.
"And I know."
no subject
"So is vengeance going to be your goal here or is that just wishful thinking?"

He looked from her to the locals, and then back.
"Guessing you're not from around. Mostly because you can actually hold a conversation."

"I'll need a crew too if I'm gonna get out there. Can't get too far on a row boat!"
no subject
No, rowing across the sea was NOT a thing that was going to be happening.
"That's for sure. Hell, even if my whole crew's here somewhere, this place doesn't seem..."
He pursed his lips and glanced around.
"...very technologically advanced. I'm not sure we could handle a decent Earth ship with just the six of us."

But he gave a slight chuckle.
"My ship was pretty big, though. Just not like the sort of things you'd be getting around here, from the looks of things."

no subject
"Yeah, you could definitely say that."
But, he shook his head and shrugged.
"Still, guess there's not much I can do about that. No used getting worked up over it, eh?"

"Oh, that's the last thing anyone'd have to worry about here. Trust me."
