"That last part sounds as if we are going to need to go treasure hunting for a while after all;" good thing they are pirates. "What are you exactly preparing for them?"

"Magnets."

That's it. No other explanation. Just that.

"The ones that attract metals?" Just making sure that it's the type of magnets he knows.

[lonelygod]

"Yes, of course."

[uccellodifuoco]

Ikki arches an eyebrow and frowns again, trying to see how that could cause the amount of damage or the reactions, the Doctor spoke about. After a while he gives up with a groan; "I can't see it. Even if you make one big enough to attract the metal doors there, it would be too big for it to be useful. And if the bullets are made of metal as the ones used on the ambush they are going to fly towards you easily."

"That," the Doctor replies with a wave of a finger, "is because you've never seen me do something with magnets. Or much of anything short of an engine. Bullets don't really like strong fields, and I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you don't know a whole lot about manipulating polarity, right? Right. Well. Just you wait and see."

[uccellodifuoco]

"Certainly, those things aren't my thing. Never went to school to begin with, and I wasn't expected to be smart, only strong;" Ikki hums, amused as he looks at the other work. "I will have to pay attention to what you do when we get there then."

[lonelygod]

"That you will," the Doctor says with a nod. "Just be careful and try and avoid getting between me and any of the gates. I won't have tested it, but I'd hate to hit you by accident."

[uccellodifuoco]

"Noted, will make sure to keep myself far from the gates until you're done;" and then get in and search for their crewmates.
