Selphie just nods and blinks at him, then reaches up to kiss him lightly on the cheek. "Thanks. I mean, again."

He doesn't blush this time, he just smiles. "Anytime dear."

She smiles back slowly, a little reassured, then a thought crosses her mind and she looks a bit troubled, "You're not going to go back there or anything, are you?"

"Now why would I wanna go and do a thing like that?"

[booyaka_boom]

"Well... I don't know. But I'm glad. I don't want anyone getting hurt. That's all. You weren't, were you?" She looks at him carefully and frowns.

"Me? Nah, I'm alright. Not a scratch on me. And..." he grins, "just between you and me? They never stood a chance of making that happen."

Selphie actually does manage a laugh at that, grinning at him as she shakes her head, "I ksnew I was in good hands the moment you picked me up."

"Well, good." He grins, touseling her hair affectionately, "Don't you forget it, either."

Selphie smiles at the affectionate move and gives a quick wink, "Don't worry, I won't!"

"Good. Now get some rest alright?" He gives her another quick hug and a kiss on top of her head before heading towards the door. "I'll come check on you later."

Selphie smiles brightly at the affection and nods her head, settling herself back down beneath the covers. "Okay. And thanks. Again. For everything."
