[he looks cold as balls. Thatch feels him. He really does. He's bundled up to his eyeteeth and still has the chills everywhere. He'll sit beside Logan. Not too close but probably closer than he would normally for a scant hope of shared body heat. Not that there is any coming]

Crazy weather, huh?

[Logan is just a bit dumbfounded is all, because he never gets this cold. And it's pissing him off. So he's a bit grouchy. The first thing Thatch hears? A grunt of agreement. But after a moment he spoke.]

The weather doesn't even seem that bad. Just the blasted temperature. I never get cold. [grousing the entire time.]

Yeah I hear you. [wraps his arms around his legs but it doesn't do much so instead he blows on his hands and rubs them together] It's this crazy world I bet--Everyone seems to be hit with it. I'd like to kick the ass of whoever did it.

[he's so used to not having to warm up that this is bullshite. All of it. He had been rubbing his hands together once in a while. Friction helped, but not enough.]

Still in all it could be worse. I'd rather be frozen on the sea than rotting in Impel.

A prison. The worst prison you can end up in. I hear they lower you in boiling water the moment you arrive and the moment the top layer of your skin floats off they figure you're done.

[he shudders visibly. He's heard the stories and seen the people that come out of that place. He's no stranger to prison himself but he'd rather be in any one of the other prisons before he went into that one]

Sounds shitty. [it really does. He's done his time in shitty cells too, but nothing like that.] Sounds more like torture then prison.

Aye. It is that. It's where they punish pirates basically. Or anyone else they don't like. It's the greatest risk of being a pirate in our world no matter what anyone says.

[give him death over that. Even being alone. He'll handle it.]

Huh. I'll give you that. So far our prisons are just holding cells back home. We got the military jerks however, who delight in tests and torture.

[he handles alone best, or so he thinks. Actually, he's a real shitty person when he's alone, but he thinks it's for the best. He'll take death any day though. Not that it'll happen.]

Oh we have plenty of those. Don't get me wrong. Most prisons are just like that or similar. We have some of that too with the tests though it's hard to say if it's the Navy that's doing it or they're protecting whoever is doing it or it's some scheme of the world government.

So... in short. Take your chances with the sea. Destroy all naval ships as soon as possible. [Hell, that was something he could sink his claws into, really.] And don't get caught. Yeah... sounds like a pirates life. Our pirates back home aren't as interesting.

If you destroy all naval ships in sight you'll be in Impel faster than you can spit. They're not all bad men, navy men. Against us, aye, but not bad. They have families at home, things they want to protect, dreams they're aiming for.

Not to say we won't give them a good trouncing when a good trouncing is due but sometimes it's best to let them sail by.

[of course being one of the strongest crews on the sea, they had that luxury]
