We might need to make it very worth their while too. [Since Marco kind of paid Pops' nurses a LOT in order to have them look pretty enough that Whitebeard would "listen" and the girls wouldn't be too offended.]

[Ace didn't have to infer that he was calling Marco lazy. His words did that plenty.

Still, he had to sort of drive the point home--]

Gah! Damn it! [When the pecks came, Ace burst into fire and flew out the window with Marco--because he was going to throw that damned bird in a barrel of tar.]

[Sinks his talons into Ace's shoulder and flaps his wings so that they both run around together. Yeah? Try to get rid of him now fucker!]

Oi! Stop it, Marco! I'm gonna-- [Digging into the fiery bastard, Ace tried to roll around on the ground and pin Marco to get his talons out.

Even if he was fire, Marco could hurt him and that was just unfair... or, less unfair.]

[Hops off and switches into human form, tugging Ace into an arm.]

What was that? Phoenixes rule and sparks are just our food??

[There! There was an arm to grab! Ace, in a keen display of flexibility, tried bending himself backwards to try and hook a leg around one of Marco's.]

You glittery jackass!

Close enough.

[This does indeed work, but Marco just goes with it to try to wrestle Ace to the ground.]

[At that, Ace got an idea. He reached up, holding his arm straight up--before he punched through his OWN stomach to try and sock Marco.

Unwittingly, aiming for the balls.]

[Switches to bird hybrid and screeches.]
