*Selphie frowns a little at that, pausing her teasing as she tilts her head*

Huh? Why not?

*Because they've already talked about him plenty*

I just don't think it's a good idea.

[He shrugs a little. Selphie talking about them as if they were a couple would defeat the purpose of Riku asking for discretion on their parts.]

Alright, if you say so. But we talk about you already, so...

*She didn't want to go messing around where she didn't need to. She was a tease, and a matchmaker at heart, but she wasn't intrusive, at least not in a bad way*

Well, listen, it's not like I'm trying to interfere. We talk about you sometimes because we both like you, and we worry about you from time to time. But that's nothing you don't already know.

*She smiles at him then, hoping that he doesn't think she's being rude or anything*

*She gives a gentle, encouraging smile*

*Because she feels like some sort of sister to them, or something*

And I know I like to talk a lot, but I can keep a secret too.

[Natsuno lets silence linger for a moment and he sighs.]

Last year, the holidays were very different. If I had known how things would turn out...I can't get over it. It's almost surreal. Like what happened this summer was just a dream.

*Selphie hugs him a little closer, though only a tiny little bit*

Life is weird, huh? The way things work out...

[He sighs softly.]

I haven't watched a lot of movies, although mostly they were stupid comedy movies. I rented a bunch of vampire movies over the summer to educate myself. My favourite food is Pocky.

[booyaka_boom]

Vampire movies? No offense, Yuuki, but you're not really like the vampires I've seen in movies, or read about in books.

*They were all tall, brooding, ladies men, for a start*

What's a pocky?

*She has in mind a type of vegetable*

Yeah, I'm pretty different. Nothing about me is what you see in the movies, but the regular shiki are much more...traditional.

[Well aside from that, Selphie would be interested to know he was short, brooding and popular with the ladies.]

Pocky is a sweet. It's a cookie stick dipped in chocolate. Childish, I know, but...

Hmm... But then, even when I was a vampire for a little while, it wasn't like I thought. I didn't wake up all stunning and powerful, that's for sure!

Huh. That sounds pretty nice. And here I didn't even think you liked sweet things so much.

You get powerful by consuming blood. That's where I get all my tricks from. Otherwise, I'm just as useless as I've always been.

[He nudges her a little playfully. He's sort of made peace with drinking blood.]

I try not to eat them too much, but...yeah, I often had soda or juice with Tohru.

You know my offer's still here - for the blood thing, if you need it.

*She grins as she nudges him playfully right back*

Though maybe Riku tastes nicer...

*Selphie raises a brow slightly - soda or juice wasn't really sugar, in her mind*

Do you have hot dogs in your world? They're popular in our world, but they're not a sweet thing.

I'm okay for now, I bit Riku not that long ago. I don't know that he tastes different. I did bite his neck though.

[Unnecessarily. It was quite the experience, actually.]

We have them. In bento boxes, people might cut them into little octopus shapes.

*But then he mentions biting Riku's neck, and her eyes light up as she gives a sly smile*

Oh... I see.

*The news about the bento boxes has her looking excited all over again*

Hot dogs in different shapes? That's awesome!

It was the first time I bit someone's neck.

[Probably something he should save for just Riku.]

Bento boxes are often made to look cute for children, or by girls hoping to impress a guy. It's about half rice and sometimes or roe is put on the rice in shapes and vegetables and meat or eggs are cut up into shapes.

Mmhmm. You don't have to share all the juicy details with me, ya know.

*That just causes her to start giggling. But now she has a rather lovely mental image in her head*

Wow! I wanna make my food into shapes! That sounds like so much fun! But - if I lived in Japan... I'd have no luck. There's no way I could impress a guy with food!
