[Because humans can handle a certain amount of cold, and what little she knows of lizards tell her they can't. Although admittedly she doesn't know all that much about lizards, and Thane isn't actually one. For one he doesn't crawl around on all fours.]

Ostensibly. I don't speak for all drell, obviously, but at guess I would say scorching is secondary to dry for most.

[At least the air here doesn't seem to be bothering his lungs as much as he expected. Probably because it's currently FROZEN, but still!]
