Sailing we will go
Who: Crew of the Charming Murderess
What: General crew log for January
When: January 4th onward.
Where: On the ship, on the sea, and probably beyond.
Warnings: Who knows so far, but you have violent people on board.
All things told, Marvelous had been getting antsy spending so much time at port, anyway.
Chasing some crazy witch that could screw with the weather and who knows what else?
Sure. Why not.
And if they found they couldn't do anything beyond investigate a little? That was fine.
There was assuredly still stuff they could explore in the east, and if anything it at least got them moving.
[ooc - So, general crew log. Will just be putting up a general sailing log for now until we figure out more specifics of what's going down, and more threads for other purposes later on (should they head for an island or back to port or anytihng) as needed~ As always, anything we need to tweak, please give me a heads up.]

SAILING TOWARDS DISTURBANCE - GENERAL
Please be sure to date your threads~]
YAY WE'RE DOOMED!
There was a sigh from him as he grumpily stared into the horizon. Expect grumpiness from him until this fools errand is complete.]
SO PESSIMISTIC, GIBBS.
Do you lack a sense of adventure, Mr. Gibbs?
[He approached the older man from behind, slapping him on the back as he came to stand next to him. A surly one, wasn't he!]
Someone has to be a Debbie Downer!
You mightn't be so cheerful if you understood that going into th' unknown with naught but a heading, and a prayer certainly means death or disaster for us.

[He leaned against the railing, tipping his head slightly to the side.]
You were a sailor before all of this, right?

7th-8th - plot related
But, as much as he might try to hide it, with that silence comes on odd distractedness. It's easy to miss. He might pause in the middle of a task to stare at nothing for a few moments or perform the same task more than once without realizing it. Whatever free time he gives himself is spent just... leaning somewhere, whether it be against the rails of the deck or the wall of his room, contemplative and listening to something perhaps only he can hear.
He speaks as little as possible, even when addressed, with Sasuke being the only exception. His actions are the most normal around his brother in general, as he forces them to be so.]

He will rest when he feels like resting.]

So be it. But if I see you get lost like that again, I'm not taking no, or at the very least silence, as an answer.
[hope you don't mind me jumping in here]
[cue Luka sauntering on over]
Either you two are making plans for a date or something's wrong with ninja boy.
[Not at all! Apologies for his unsociableness.]

Whatever the case, it leaves him tentative about the few times some instinctive sense pings that a pause has dragged on too long, or that Itachi sinks into thought a little more frequently.
It doesn't stop him from catching up with him right after they sail, dropping in next to Itachi from a mast.]
Brother.

[Itachi turns to face him immediately, at once focused and prepared for conversation. At least as focused as he's going to get at this point in time.]
Have you been keeping busy?
[The way his brother likes to appear from high up is endearing to him, no matter what his own mindset is like at the moment. It's a cute habit, and one not at all unlikely for a ninja to have here. The ship becomes limiting after a while.]
no subject
At least there is something happening, which is why his expression grows more serious when he continues:]
It sounds like where we're sailing will be dangerous in ways we can't predict. If something happens, I want you to stick close to me.

Something weird is going on, and...
Noticing Itachi out of the corner of his eye, he gives a shout.]
Yo! Itachi!
no subject
But this is the Captain. That gets him just barely enough of a distinction that Itachi straightens and turns to face him. His attention is claimed for now.]
Captain.

He does blink a bit, though - he notices the momentary moment where it appears as if he's not going to pay him mind. He brushes it off for the moment, though.]
Stupid question. Did you see what Dog was talking about the other day? With the witch.
[He should hope he did, considering that's where they were headed.]

9th - After Link's insubordination
He wasn't going to get to see Navi again and it was their fault. He had thought they were his friends.]

So, he'd waited.
Now Link was locked up, and the others had finally disappeared. Draco sidled up to the door and knocked softly, before speaking in a loud whisper.]
Link! Can you hear me?

Draco?

[Pulls his wand out, aiming it at the door's lock.]
This bint from the journal is worth checking out, this is the first lead we've had in ages on a way to get home. If the others don't want to take the ship back, then you and I can use the Nav. Alohomora!
[Annnd that would be the faint sound of something being unlocked!]

21st - while the ship is at sea searching for coral shards]</small>
So when she took time aside to do it, she found that... something was missing from what she'd added. Knowing that couldn't be right, she checked again.
Yep, that was less loot than before. Her first thought was that Itachi had taken it under the influence, but he didn't know she was lining the Murderess's coffers. She'd only told Gibbs, who'd reassured her prior, and...
...
Marvelous.
Moments later, Luka stormed onto the deck of the ship, looking like the collective wrath of the thirty five yellow super sentai (and related colors) personified]
MARVELOUS! FRONT AND CENTER!
no subject
He looked very much like a man expecting this.]
Yeah, yeah.
What's up?
no subject
Where is it?! Where's whatever you bought with the money you took?!

He flips out his Mobirates and draws out a key from his jacket.]
Hey, you asked.
[Insert, turn, click.]
2/2
[There is a bright flash of energy that may or may not get Luka to let go, but either way, Shinken Red is standing there instead.]
