[He snorts a little. He doesn't believe you, Ikki.]

Maybe this isn't your thing. We could go sit in the galley and have a meal or something. Doesn't have to be much. Even if I am wrong.

[His tone suggests he does not think he is.]

You haven't eaten today.

Stalking may not be what you're doing, but it sure sounds now as if you plan to babysit me.

[The sentiment isn't really appreciated at the moment, unfortunately.]

I told you that I'm not hungry.

[If the other keeps pressing he will have to be openly honest, though. There are times when being a jerk really sounds like the best option.]

[Natsuno crosses his arms and glares at him, maybe Riku is rubbing off on him, a lot.]

I'm not doing it to babysit you exactly, but I can't ignore this when we're going into a really terrible situation and you need to be at full strength.

Full strength?

[That actually makes him laugh, openly. But it's not a happy laugh, it's just an amused one, for all the wrong things. It rings heavy and edgy in the air, devoid of any real emotion.]

What do you know about my full strength? If that's what has you so worried, would you feel better if I showed you exactly how strong I am right now?

It's not a slight against you and we really shouldn't be fighting with each other considering what lies ahead.

[He scratches the back of his head, shuffling a bit awkwardly.]

I'm concerned about you.

You should be concerned about the witch. She took Ace, Selphie and got Roxas, and you killed among other things.

[A smile forms on his face, but it is one that just looks wrong. Full of hate and cruelty, the smile of a predator that is about to toy with their prey.]

I'm going to make sure that her last memory of this visit of hers to this world is one of endless pain.

Well she's not here right now, is she? You are, and you need to eat. Come on Ikki, don't make me worry about things that should be unnecessary right now and take care of yourself.

I'm not making you worry. You're the one doing so over something not needed. I don't remember asking you to do so either.

I will eat when I'm hungry and when I want to eat. Until then I have better things to do.

[He returns to his work, in this case, raising the nets to collect the black coral and throw them out again.]

[So Ikki wants to ignore Natsuno and his warnings? For what reason? What good is it going to do him if he passes out due to lack of food? Natsuno doesn't know if that applies to phoenixes, but all living things need to eat and if he has to eat in this place, so does Ikki.]

Ikki, listen to me!

[There's something in his tone that has changed. His appearance has changed with the flare of his annoyance, his eyes going red, fangs appearing out of nowhere. The sound of his voice is meant to be hypnotic.]

You need to eat. This is not optional.

[Natsuno's reaction is greeted by a similar one in Ikki. He let's go of his Cosmos, stopping restraining it as he has been doing since Roxas returned. In a second it's as if a raging hell has been summoned on the deck, the energy's pressure high enough that even those without a kin sense for it would be able to notice it.]

I'm listening, Natsuno. It's you who isn't listening.

I'm not going to eat, I don't care who the fuck offers it to me or says that I need to eat. I will eat when I consider it needed or when I want to.

[If he was hoping for fear, he wasn't getting it. Natsuno had his arms crossed, just staring at Ikki head on.]

I don't understand why you can't take a minute and take care of yourself.

[He's not expecting anything except that it will get into Natsuno's head that he isn't at risk of being "weak". But it's obvious that he's expecting too much from the other.]

I am taking care of myself. All those who were possessed are gone... Or rather, the ones who actually did anything are, nothing says that there aren't others left behind or that she can't get someone new possessed to help thin our numbers again.

Need me to spell it out for you? I'm not going to eat anything that has passed through anyone's hands until that witch is dead.

[Just poison wouldn't keep him dead for long, it would be required a huge amount of it, even. But he's not going to take any risk. Even if that means not trusting anyone but himself in the ship.]

[He sighs and just shakes his head a little.]

I don't care if you don't accept food from me or not. Suspecting me...I don't care about any of that. I just want you to eat. Can you at least make yourself something?

[Ikki glares at Natsuno for a bit longer before he seals his Cosmo once more. Looking back to his task.]

Some fish get tangled in the nests together the coral, I will cook them and eat them.

[He doesn't trust anything else on the ship at the moment.]

[He sighs a little, calming down himself as he leans against the railing, not looking at Ikki any longer.]

Thank you. That's all I want, I'm just...concerned for you. I don't want anyone else to get hurt. I've had about enough of it.

[There's a heavy sigh as he keeps working.]

You really don't believe me, do you? Sometimes I wonder if I got something in my brain that makes me think differently than most people.

[Though with Natsuno that theory gets kind of ruined.]

I believe you.

[If Ikki says he'll do it, Natsuno has no choice but to believe him.]

I don't think you do, there's nothing wrong with being suspicious. You can't know if I've been compromised, I did disappear for three days, dead.

[Ikki shakes his head.]

You don't, if you did you wouldn't be concerned about me eating or not in the first place.

[Funny how he believes only part of what he says.]

Forget it, even if you hadn't disappeared I wouldn't trust food coming from you. A direct attack is something easy to fend off, underhanded cowardly methods, not so much.

I'm concerned because you're part of this crew and I'm...fond of you, that's why I'm concerned. I don't want you to make yourself sick or weak or anything else. Maybe it is my problem but...

[Natsuno trails off into a murmur, shuffling his feet a little bit. He's not really good at relating to people.]

All the same, I'm not bothered by that. You don't have to trust me.

[Actually, when people do trust him, it's still surprising.]

[Ikki just shakes his head again. It's a lost cause, isn't it? To talk to someone who isn't a phoenix or hasn't known him for years and thus knows where he's coming from. So he drops it and with it, most of the conversation and just keeps working.]

Good then.

[He's not trusting even Marco or Roxas until all this is over. It's one of the reasons why he decided to stay on the Sun rather than go to the Moon, that and that by his calculations there was only one man difference between the ships, mostly due Thatch coming to the Sun.]

[Natsuno hopes for Ikki's sake and everyone else's that he does take his words to heart and eats.

Knowing that he's being dismissed, he gives him a bow before turning his back on him and heading elsewhere on the ship.]
