If there is one, it escapes me. Very little of this entire fiasco makes sense.
[He knows full well it's not the sort of thinking he's suited to, but when even wiser people than he are baffled by it, it must be a lost cause.]
If we were brought here for a task, why then does our taskmaster seem to strive to make us suffer so?
