*Now that things are more or less stable and the crew is heading to a new (to him) island, Adol is settling into the routine of living and working on a ship. He's still new and wouldn't mind being harassed by his new crewmates at all.*

[No longer possessed and forgiven for her actions, Xun Yu takes a brief break from her own hard work when she spots someone that she doesn't recognise aboard. Greeting the latest crew members is one of a few tasks she's yet to get around to -- since the opportunity presents itself, she seizes the chance and approaches.]

[It's been around a week since the witch's fortress fell, and that's more than enough time for any injuries to have healed, leaving everyone with a chance to celebrate the victory at last, but instead, Ragna is... sulking. Which probably isn't all that surprising to those on the crew who know him already. Try hard as he may (which is not at all), the Grim Reaper can't bring himself to enjoy the peace after an eventful month, simply because they were so close to getting a part of that goddamn jewel and failed.

The fact it wasn't his personal failure is only mildly comforting.

Thus, Ragna spends the following days mostly hanging around their new ship, grumbling to himself and throwing death glares at people who dare to approach him because no, he doesn't feel victorious at all and sees no point in celebrating.]

Friggin' great. I go through all this bullshit and what? I still get outta it empty-handed. [Because saving your crewmates surely doesn't count as success, right? Right.] The only ticket to freedom goes to some random bastards that I'll probably need to go after at some point to get it back, anyway...

[The man kicks whatever object is on the ground nearby─ a bucket or hell, even a chest (in which case he soon regrets that action), and lets out a sigh.]

... Get your shit together, self. Whining ain't gonna change anything.

[He admits as much, so at least there's that.]

[There's a yelp not long after that bucket goes flying, and the twangy sound of someone falling over their guitar.]

H-hey, who turned out the lights?! Ugh! This thing stinks!!

[Sitting up from where he'd moments ago crashed on the deck, the elf tugs at the offending bucket from his head.]

Jan. 30 -- get ready to yell at Adol

*Adol dodges the bucket coming his way and it bounces into a hallway. Nice kick.* Are...you okay? *The answer is probably no, but Adol will ask anyway.*

FOR MOTOCHIKA:

[Free of possession, with her mind quiet and her normal judgement restored, Xun Yu feels weary enough to rest for days. Yet the enormity of what she has done weighs upon her, heavy and terrible, constricting her chest; she knows better than to put off facing the consequences of her actions. That is why she presents herself to Motochika for judgement. Though the Katabami doesn't particularly stand on ceremony, nothing else feels appropriate to her, the past few weeks considered.

Xun Yu gets down on her knees, places her palms upon the deck and presses her forehead to the wood, kowtowing as deeply as possible. Her crushing shame rings clear when she speaks.]

I beg your forgiveness, for the wrongs that I have committed against you and this crew.


FOR OLD CREWMATES:

[Xun Yu approaches, her demeanour reflecting the weight of her shame. She has many apologies to make for her actions during her time possessed by the Witch, and whether or not they are accepted she is determined to give them. She does not expect her overtures to go well, but if there is a chance that she might be able to make amends and repair the damage done... she bows her head, folding her hands before her, and casts her gaze down.]

[Motochika crosses his arms and looks down at Xun Yu. He wouldn't have asked her to go as far as to prostrate herself like this, but having been in this position himself once, he can understand her need to. He hadn't even had possession to use as an excuse, only his own pigheadedness. Ieyasu had forgiven him without question, then, but Motochika isn't quite as quick to let things go.]

Zozo has provided me with an explanation of this possession business [With helpful illustrations, even.] so I'm inclined to be generous and forgive you, but not without hearing what happened in your own words. We lost a good ship due to your actions and it was only by the mercy of these seas that that's all we lost.

[Not to mention she couldn't even manage to bring back a shard while having one on her own person, but that's not something he'll blame her for, just something he'll be a bit put out about until the day he finally has a piece of the jewel to call his own.]

[Of course he's mad; between Gold stabbing him in the guts and Xun Yu nearly sinking the entire ship, how could one expect him not to be? Hell, he honestly thought he'd beat the shit outta them as soon as they were back on the ship.

He didn't, mostly because he found a new thing to be extremely pissed off about: the fact that they had a piece of the gem everyone is looking for within their reach... and they lost the chance to grab it. As it stands, it's kind of hard to determine who he's angry at most: the morons who got possessed, for trying to kill him, the morons who where fighting in the fortress, for failing to do something that should've been the highest priority, or himself, because maybe if he went there instead, things would've been different.

Long story short, the Grim Reaper is more than ready to snap at any unfortunate soul who happens to be around, and finds himself mildly surprised when the most he does when Xun Yu speaks to him is glare daggers at her, though without resorting to violence.

... If it's about the crap from the fortress, go find some other slave. I'm not in the mood for that bullshit.

[Most of the members of the crew no doubt had mixed feelings about the possessed. They were supposed to put their lives on the line for these people and were supposed to count on them to do the same. Yet this possession business was a break of trust. Sort of. At least, that was how they felt. It was hard to accept that they had no control over their actions.

Unless you were Zozo. Then you just didn't give a shit. Her sister stole her body and she STILL loves her. So having a crewmate be possessed and try to kill her and the others? Pfft, ain't no thing.]

[It wouldn't be the first time he's had to move a cat out of his bed so that he can sleep, but it's definitely the first time he's had to move a...a...cat person. For a moment, he considers having Ragna take care of it, but he doesn't let anyone into his quarters unless absolutely necessary and the last thing he needs is Ragna complaining about the mess. Or moving something.]

[Okay, so there's probably room enough for two, but he knows cats and if strange clingy cat people are anything like normal cats, they can expand to fit any bed no matter their actual size.]

Despite that, Ieyasu is trying to decide whether he should just leave the cat person alone and find somewhere else or wake her up. You know, in case if she just happened to wander into the wrong place.]

At Port Chance

[Kodai can't remember ever having set foot in a Liquor store before. With earth at war booze were hard to come by and forbidden to cadets. So the store in port chance was a little confusing.]

*Adol had been looking around and successfully purchased a few things with the loot he liberated from the fortress. Then he spied a fellow shipmate wandering around the liquor store.*

Did Captain Motochika elect you to get the alcohol?

[Motochika has staked out a nice bit of space on the beach not too far from the Port Chance harbor and spent the early evening hours hauling down a few kegs and casks and bottles from the Katabami's newly replenished alcohol supply. The crew has been informed that there is to be drinking and merriment and that attendance is mandatory. The captain has even gone as far as to assign tasks such as finding blankets, scrounging up snacks, and collecting driftwood for a bonfire and heavily implied that failure to comply may invite spending the night in the brand new brig.

As soon as sun sets, Motochika can be found on the beach, a bottle of rum already in hand and ready to make sure everyone has fun whether they like it or not.]

Brace yourself because Motochika and Ieyasu have found some new friends for us, except, well, one of them doesn't like Ieyasu much.

Magoichi isn't that one. Which is a good thing, because Ieyasu probably would have died the moment he tried to make a contract with her, but that's neither here nor there. She's been around the ship, trying to find out what she needs to do, and, more importantly, what Motochika hasn't been doing. When she's managed to find time for a break, she's generally spent it maintaining her many assorted guns and explosives. Should someone come up to speak with her, though, she'll put aside whatever she's doing. It's important to maintain a knowledge of the people she's working with, after all.

Mitsunari Catchall

[Countdown before he gets voted off the ship begins now.

And here we have the second of the new arrivals. Anyone who encounters Mitsunari will find embarking him on a dogged search of the Katabami for Ieyasu. It probably would best to distract him before he can get too far. Motochika may have faith in this new crewmate, but Mitsunari's not making any promises of good behavior.]

[Motochika should really know better by now, but the food they've received has never been cursed before, so why should he think it's a bad idea to shove magic candy in his face?
