[Lea tries to snatch the book away from him.]

You better be doing your homework or Professor Lea is going to have to give you detention.

[He relinquishes the book though, Lea just has to ask. Nicely.]

[Lea doesn't bother to sit up and just holds the book up over his face to read.]

Geez, you've been slacking on this. I'm going to have to give you homework or something. Gimme a pencil.

Aw, homework is boring, do I have to?

[Roxas looks surprised, eyes widening. That rarely happens, it was just an instinct. He does however dig through his pocket and pull out a pen, handing it over wordlessly.]

Yes, you have to! Look at this thing! When was the last time you actually wrote in it.

[Lea takes the pencil and rolls over on his side so he can write in the book. He leaves Roxas an assignment and hands it back.]

Get that done by tomorrow.

[Roxas grumbles a little bit. Lea didn't notice how weird that was, so it must have sounded fine. It's not often that 'Sora' turns up.]

[What comes off as "weird" to Roxas doesn't even register with Lea because it sounds so normal.]

I'm gonna grade it too. If I fail you, I'm gonna give you half my chores in the galley.

Then you'd better get it done, huh? Ten sentences is all. Not that much.

[Of course, he made it so doing it from memory isn't going to be enough. Roxas is going to have to ask a few questions to get this one done, and he's not going to be the one answering them.]

[He tsks, and it slips out again.] I never liked homework!

[Roxas' eyes widen again.]

[Yeah, so Roxas wants to talk about something else, but Lea is nosy.]

[Yeah, that time Lea noticed. He put his palm to his forehead and shook his head.]

[Seems like Roxas has his own secrets.]

[Lea shoves him before rolling back onto his back.]

There's...it's happened a couple of times before. When I say things sometimes but it's not me.

[If it's started since coming here, that could mean...he doesn't want to think about what it could mean.]

Yeah, kind of. When I was fighting Riku he was teasing me and whatever I said then made him realize who I was, because it was Sora, not me. I think it happened when I talked to Kairi too. It doesn't happen a lot or anything. I guess Sora doesn't like homework.

[Well, as long as it isn't something new, he can breathe a little easier. A little.]

Huh. I've always just been me, so I guess I didn't think about something like that happening.

[Roxas is frowning a bit though and he sighs heavily. Lea must be getting sick of things like this by now.]

Never could really wrap my brain around how the whole thing was supposed to work. Did my best, though, so I could keep an eye on you.

[Lea smiles and punches Roxas in the arm, but the smile doesn't quite reach his eyes. It'd been his best, but his best hadn't been good enough in the end.]

[It isn't really Lea's fault that Roxas is supposed to be with Sora. Roxas isn't supposed to exist after all. Lea couldn't have known that.

Roxas smiles back though and shoves him lightly, playfully.]

Here I thought you were the smart one!

[Lea knows quite a bit more than Roxas thinks he does, but now's not the time to discuss it.]

I am the smart one! Smarter than you!

[It's hard to give him that good of a shove from Lea's position, but he tries anyway.]

[Roxas teases him lightly, evading his hand, kneeling beside him.]

You just think you are. Maybe I'll teach you something!

Oh yeah? Like what? Skateboard tricks don't count. You bring that thing over here and I'm setting it on fire.

[Lea swats at Roxas' knee once he gets close enough. So there. Take that.]
