What: A day out. Totally not part of "Operation: Distract Haruhi Until Birthday Celebration Is Ready."

"Thank you for coming with me."
The words come easily enough as Kyouya strolls through the marketplace. It's become more familiar and, within a week, there will be newcomers. More people from their school? He's still almost waiting for the day he sees Nekozawa-senpai. Or Renge.
What would they do here? Would they manage?
He stops at a stand. Fresh fruit.
When the man working the stand calls him by name, Kyouya looks up. Startled and... affected. It's not a hurt, it's not a warmth. It's something sharp but fleeting. He's been here long enough to be known. To be named. To have a reputation. It's enough to make him put down the fruit and keep walking.
"I thought you might need a small break from everyone."
