Brought to this world...
Who: Dust and OPEN
Where: Isla Empieza, all over
When: The 11th
What: Dust chooses to explore rather than testing the journal
Warnings: Possible violence.
Style: Whatever!
Status: Open
With the Blade of Ahrah held in customary fashion, reverse-grip behind him, Dust stalked the streets of Isla Empieza, searching for something.
Every so often, he paused to call out a single word: "Fidget!" After a moment, when no response came, he made a low, angry noise in his throat and moved on.
After ten or fifteen repetitions, he finally said, "Ahrah. Where could she be?"
The sword replied, its runes glowing with each word, "I do not know, Dust. She was not far behind when we were brought here, but that may have been enough. This is not Falana... it is nowhere I know."
"That's not what I want to hear, Ahrah. And I'm not giving up yet."

As she walked, listed still up to her face, her focus entirely on it. Until of course, she hears a voice. Glancing up she spots someone who she is pretty sure is talking to themselves.]
I know that being alone sometimes can make one a little crazy, but even I find talking to ones self to be creepy.

[These creatures... they look closer to Moonbloods than Warmbloods, but something about them suggests the latter. Still, this is a town and they don't seem to be attacking, so though he doesn't put the blade away, he isn't in a hostile stance either.]
no subject
[She crosses her arms over her chest as she watched. She actually had no idea of who or even what that was that.]
no subject
[Dust nods, holding the blade out to the side slightly.] The Blade of Ahrah.
no subject
So it's a sword that talks. I guess that can be kinda handy to have. [She pauses for a moment, shaking her head slightly, okay she should be nice.]
Anyway, since I'm assuming your new have you got a grip on where you are yet and what one has to do.

[She pauses.]
Although it's hard to tell which.
no subject
She wouldn't have left without me, I'm sure of it.
no subject
[Compared to the natives of course they kind of do.]
no subject
[Dust exhales sharply, frustrated and worried all at once.]
Could you tell me where I am, at least? I don't recognize this place. Or remember it.
no subject
[That's what she knew of anyway.]
no subject
I'm not the only one? [How could there even be another Sen-Mithrarin? That can't be possible!]
no subject
[Which is a pretty long time, but it doesn't distress her that much.]
There are many more people in the same situation such as yourself. It's a bummer and totally not cool, but it happens.

no subject
So have you found a crew yet?
no subject
[Now she's completely lost him.]
no subject
The natives will basically run you off the island. So usually we get a boat or join a crew and sail off into open waters.
no subject
[Is he supposed to fight them? That doesn't seem right, and yet...]
[He looks over his shoulder, back in the direction he came from.]
I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do here.
no subject
[Like fights will happen sometimes, which she wished wasn't the case but yet she knew it wouldn't be that easy.]
no subject
no subject
It's the only logical thing.

[Now seems a good time as any to try and get more people.]
I'm the captain of the ship called Queen's Gambit. If you'd like you can join my crew.
no subject
[If he has a slight reaction to that, it's because of personal history, and the distant role of a king in the conflict that had engendered his creation.]
[The odds are slim that it has any relation, but he can't help but ask.]
What's the name from?
no subject
Honestly, I haven't a clue. The captain before me choose it for whatever reason and we keep him because of him.
no subject
[Dust thinks a moment more, but he really had no choice.]
Well, if you have a place for a swordsman on board...
no subject
[She turned around, pausing for a moment before turning her head.]
Unless you want to keep doing what you wanted to for a little longer?

I think you may be underestimating me. Besides, it can't be much harder than fighting in a volcano.
no subject
[She knows a bit about them however.]
no subject
[Dust remains confident, almost a little cocky even.]
In the sea, if you fall, you can get back out.
no subject
[She nods slightly. It might be true but yet at the same time...] Depending on how the ocean is that day that is true. If it's stormy, more likely to drown. It's why I keep an eye on Dog's weather reports sometimes. That way I know where not to go if there is a storm.
no subject
[He holds out his free hand, flexes it, still not entirely certain he really is...]
I'm not worried. I just want to do what needs to be done.
no subject
Here we are, on the docks. The ship is this over there. [She moves her right arm and points towards the correct ship.]
no subject
Amazing.
no subject
It is pretty neat, right? Though they are very hard to steer and sail if you don't have the experience, but you'll learn with time.
no subject
[It's a little intimidating, as well. But Dust doesn't much go in for backing down.]
Guess I'd better start learning fast, then.
no subject
We'll be happy to help you learn the ropes.
no subject
Given what those sails look like, you mean that literally, right?
no subject
I really do mean it quite literally for once. [She soon let go and made her way up, she had a few things she had left to do.]
You can look around, get use to the place before we head off tomorrow.
no subject
[Dust freezes as he remembers that his companion isn't there. For a moment, he'd forgotten.]
no subject
Well if you'd like to keep looking around you are free to do so and if you want me I'll be in my room planning on what to do next.
no subject
...thank you, by the way.
no subject
[She smiles firmly before she heads off to do some work.]
