March Mingle

Who: The Sinewave and Triton's Mistress (Sinewave's Mistress? Triton's Sinewave?...)
Where: Gun Frontier, the ocean (headed south).
When: From 3/7 to 3/13-ish, possibly longer.
What: All-purpose mingle for the Mistress/Sinewave alliance at the start of March! Records the formal meeting of their crews and subsequent journey to the southern oceans, in pursuit of one of the Eight Captains (who they find in another log, stay tuned for that).
Warnings: Probably language and mild amounts of crazy, will update if needed.
Style: Whatever strikes your fancy!
Status: Open to crews of the Sinewave, Mistress, and any recruits they happen to get between 3/9 and 3/13.

It's a mingle! Please specify where you are (Gun Frontier, either of the ships involved on the open ocean) and when it happens in the header. Feel free to make subthreads for parties or other large gatherings if you'd like.

Enjoy!

[Lenalee wasn't sure about everyone favourite tea of coffee yet, but thankfully she goes for the most obvious tea first and would wait to see a reaction. It helps in a way.]

This time round it's Early Gray. It seems it's the only one we have left at the moment.

[He was a dork for Earl Gray, but no one in the world had to know that. Archer breathed out a tense sigh, letting his eyes finally leave the target. He didn't have to keep up that tense mentality the whole time, admittedly.]

That's perfectly fine. Thank you, Lenalee.

[She sweetly smiles, leaving the tea where it was but holding the tray up to her chest.]

Is there anything else that you would like me to get?

[personal profile] madeofswords 2014-04-05 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
I think you do a bit too much. Maybe if you sat still for awhile?

[He nodded his thanks once more and stopped to take the tea, lifting it up to his lips. He would wait awhile, taking the smell in and relaxing his muscles.]

Too much? [She looks puzzled for a moment.] I guess I could use some time to stay still but I'm also kind of use to having to do something all the time.

Your mind needs exercise as much as any part of your body. Repetitive tasks slowly become less and less taxing as time passes.

[So, Archer finally took a sip.]

Doing different things allows you flexibility, mentally.

But I thought things being less taxing was suppose to be a good thing?

[She was somewhat puzzled about that, but then again learning to do new things could be considered rather fun and makes one mind work more.]

Then would you like to give me ideas of things I could do?

[personal profile] madeofswords 2014-04-11 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
Your muscles need rest a lot more than your mind does. Otherwise, you can become a stuttering geriatric who's forgotten how to think. [Still, the gesture and request brought a smile to his face.]

Admittedly, I'm a terrible person to ask those kinds of things of. You might have better luck speaking to Ban about how to enjoy yourself.

I like to think right now I'm good in the thinking department. But can that really happen from overworking? [She still wasn't sure if it was true, but it was him saying it so she was inclined to believe it.]

I'll speak to you, but I'm not sure his idea of fun would be the same as mine.

[personal profile] madeofswords 2014-04-13 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, no. Not thinking hard enough on a daily basis keeps you slack-jawed and slow. It doesn't show right away, but even people in their forties can become senile.

Still, are you sure? Like I said, I'm a terrible gamble. My idea of entertainment falls under the same category as my work.

[She...really isn't sure what he means, at least she doesn't think he would think of her becoming slow or anything.]

Well considering I don't have many hobbies due to my work, I just have to figure things out. But from speaking to Ban a few times I already can take a guess what his idea of fun would be.

[personal profile] madeofswords 2014-04-16 11:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, could you? I imagine if one's sins were written on their face, Ban wouldn't have any less face left to lose.

[Not that he had any right to talk--at least from what he could admit about himself.]

[She couldn't help but laugh slightly.]

I guess so. So, I should go and do something that isn't work then. I'll thank you for the advice once I actually have more hobbies.

[She turns around, making sure that the tray was with her as she was soon walking off.]
