The rain is still running down their faces, making the kiss more than a little wet, but he cocks his head slightly and suddenly it's a lot less awkward. A small sound escapes from the back of his throat, and he presses himself even tighter. There's no misjudgments here, because he wants this more than he can say.]

"And thus, the lion fell in love with the lamb, succumbing to its sick, masochistic ways, ne'er to be free to hide in the murky depths of the dankest corner of the ship thanks to the all entrenching light and the power of love~"
[she could go on with more nonsense like this, but. Still. Just how long has she been standing there? Who knows.]
no subject
That sounds like a lovely story. Perhaps you could write it down, and share it with us later.
[ISABELA HOW COULD YOU]

Captain Cockblock should be her new official title.]
You're supposed to be asleep. Go back to sleep.
no subject
[no, she's pretty unrepentant. You two were kinda nauseating.] Really? So who exactly had night watch?
[canoodling during watch. For shame.]
no subject
That would be me. I'm happy to report that everything was quite dull, cold, and rainy up until about five minutes ago, when a soaking wet apostate appeared on the deck and wandered over to the rail to look out over the water.
[Obviously Izzy knows the rest]
no subject
I wasn't soaking wet when I appeared on the deck. It took about five seconds.

You know, it's always interesting when you have sailors who'll have sex with each other. You never know when they'll tumble out of a broom closet or what-have-you whenever you open a door.
[it's really kind of hard to ignore the embrace, to your credit]
no subject
So was that a suggestion, or...?
no subject
Maybe she's volunteering to take your shift for you.
no subject
If we crash and die, I'm blaming you.
[later, kids]
no subject
[Or not, because if they crashed and died, they'd be dead, and then it wouldn't matter, so honestly, he can't really complain either way.]
no subject
I shouldn't encourage you to be irresponsible, should I?
no subject
I suppose not. I'm good enough at it on my own, after all.
[His arms are still wrapped around Anders, so he gives him a good squeeze before pulling back.]
And you ought to get out of the wet before you catch your death.
no subject
It isn't as if I'd be able to sleep now anyway.
[So he'll lean in to kiss Hawke again, softly and only lasting a few moments, but he still feels like he has to do it now or he'll lose his chance. It's a little bit hard to believe.]
no subject
I never said anything about sleep.
My watch ends in an hour.
no subject
[He really had no idea what time it was. With the clouds covering the sky, it's impossible to tell when exactly he'd woken up. But an hour isn't too long. He leans into Hawke, fighting back a smile.]
I could keep you company during the rest of your watch.
no subject
I'd like that. A lot.
no subject
I'd prefer not to leave while I still have a hard time believing this.
no subject
[Yeah, standing close like this really isn't conducive to keeping watch, so he starts to move back to his post, one arm still around Anders' waist. From there things can be seen, and which is also somewhat drier than standing out completely in the rain.]
no subject
[He can lean his side against Hawke, though, once they're standing by the mast again.]
no subject
But I haven't slept yet.
[And from the looks of things, he's probably not going to. Tonight, at least.]
no subject
Maybe you fell asleep on your watch.
no subject
[Three years is a long time to get used to a warm manor and a giant four-poster feather bed. He still has trouble going to sleep in the hammocks onboard. Don't tell anyone.]
Are you warm enough?
no subject
[He's obviously teasing, but well, Hawke is essentially confirming that he has dreamed about this, and maybe that's the ego boost he needs.]
I'm warm. Thank you.
