[It's a rush that Toothless has learned to appreciate much more with someone to enjoy the moment with. He's learned to have fun with Hiccup, and dives like these are commonplace in their flights.

He feels that adjustment of his tail fin, and at precisely the right moment, unfurls his wings again, catching enough of the air to give them lift in a sharp curve.

It's a smooth path back up, and with wings remaining stretched to their full extent, the dragon takes advantage of the speed of their glide to pull them up, over and around.
