What: Picking up new crew members and recovering from the Navy battle! Plus shenanigans.

[hey look, a reaction he's used to! Well not exactly. Usually those kind of reactions are a lot more screaming and panic on the streets but, he supposes, after being brought to another world entirely against your will, you kind of get used to seeing unbelievable things.]

Well that really depends on the size of the boat, and this is more of a ship in any case but...

Yup, I'm pretty sure Gaius took me to the right boat, or has it not been released to the rest of the crew that HazMat got a new member?

Well uh, I'm Donatello. I work in the lab mostly trying to figure out how to make this place somewhat more tolerable for the more technologically inclined. I'm thinking of retrofitting the entire ship to be mechanical and maybe even working on a sub.

[but maybe he's talking about himself too much. He rubs the back of his head.]

A sub and a technologically advanced ship huh? Those a pretty big ideas considering this is the time when having ideas gets you accused of witchcraft. But I had no idea this thing had a lab. I miss being in labs, it's be such a long time.

Witchcraft? I haven't heard anything about that. Man... [he runs a hand over his head] It's bad enough just to be chased by those Navy guys without witch stuff being thrown around.

[but then it strikes him it's still introduction time]

Well...I was a champion back home, though I'm not sure it'll amount to much here. I used to help out in my grandmother's lab till I was tasked to help an old family friend out with his research...I brought a dragon to the boat, another other creatures. She's in here.

[She unclasps Garchomp's pokeball from her belt and shows it to Don. He seemed pretty interested in technology. So here's something he could possibly drool over.]

And you?

Grandmother's lab? [crouches and grins at her] You were in a lab? What did you do in the lab? No, scratch that, what did you have? Do you think you could help replicate any part of that here? What were you studying? What's this?

[he takes the ball and looks at it experimentally. Shakes it around close to his ear. This is exciting. Oh, hello, what's this? A button?]

What's this? [pushes it]

Sad to say engineering isn't really my thing. But we did have a few things in the lab, pokemon storage units in our PC, specimen samples, blah blah blah...it's been far too long since I last visited my grandmother. So I'm not all that sure if she upgraded anything.

As for that, it's a pokeball. I use it to store my poke--DONNIE NO!!

[There is a flash of light followed by a loud roar and a dragon emerging from it all.

She takes a look around her surroundings before eyeing a certain purple masked turtle. Dinner? Not dinner?]

[well that's kinda disappointing about it being so long but maybe--

oh...hello, sudden appearing dragon]

Uh...what the heck just happened?

Donatello, meet Garchomp.

[The dragon snarls before walking over to her master's side, still glaring at not dinner.]

As I said, that ball stores creatures like this. No matter what shape or size, they will fit. That button you pressed releases them, and if you throw it at her, it'll open and she'll go back inside.

Woah! It's like some pocket dimension! [peers inside the ball and pokes in it experimentally.] Or is it some kind of energy phase converter? Does it work on anyone? Or just um...purple dragons? And what is its power source?

[is peering at it from all angles fairly oblivious to the dragon's hungry stare]

Well it's more of an energy phase converter. A pokeball only works on the creature it captures and it's designed to capture ONLY pokemon so you can't use it on Mikey. If I ever find an extra unused one, I can give it to you for further research if you want.
