What: Picking up new crew members and recovering from the Navy battle! Plus shenanigans.

[The chime of bells alerts Motochika to Gan Ning's arrival. Attention drawn, he looks the approaching pirate over with interest and nudges his companion's leg with his own -- knowing that this was a tale that Mitsuhide would want to hear too he doesn't wait alone at his table. They have more than enough coin to cover the cost of this evening, and so he flags one of the serving girls over to order a fresh round. There is already food on the table.]

I am glad you could make it. You recognised us, did you?

[Motochika greets, wearing a friendly smile. It's better to find out right away which group of samurai Gan Ning is actually familiar with.]

[Mitsuhide looks up from his cup (which does not, in fact, contain any alcohol), and follows Motochika's gaze to find Gan Ning there.]

[As a scholar and samurai, Mitsuhide is familiar with the tales of many warriors and wars. The three kingdoms era of China is well-documented and thus something with which he has some familiarity, so he knows about Gan Ning in that sense. But a few words in a book hardly give one a complete picture of any legend of the past, and seeing is very different from believing.]

Gan Ning of the bells.

[He bows his head politely, expression and tone both sincere.]

[As he approaches, Xingba nods his head confidently - and then catches himself and offers them respect, clasping his fist before his heart. He grins at Motochika, then.

Recognized you. I've seen you around Sun Ce. And you... [with another nod to Mitsuhide] ...pretty sure I've seen you riding with Oda. I wasn't acquainted with a lot of his guys.

[he pulls out the chair opposite them and flops into it before leaning in to inspect the food on the table]

...quite a spread you got here. This for all of us?

[So it was them, and not the other set of samurai, nor a third party. It also means that before them sits the actual historical man from their world. Motochika spares Mitsuhide a glance in a wordless expression of I told you this would be deeply interesting, before he sweeps his hands outwards in a gesture encompassing the table.]

Help yourself. Drinks are on their way.

[He'll let Gan Ning settle in before his questions flow freely.]

[Acquainted with Oda... so in this odd world Gan Ning was speaking of, he was still loyal to Lord Nobunaga? That was likely to be only one small detail in a strange picture, but it's one Mitsuhide takes note of.]

It seems fitting that Lord Motochika would get along well with the Little Conqueror.
