[Ok so MAYBE she might have overreacted a little. But who could blame her? In a world filled with pirates, being on a boat with an ex-convict would make anyone question their trust. She felt bad that she did though.]

Depends on what you view as bad, I guess. I'm not big on killing- that's kind of how I got involved with the Shepherds, after finding out that the group I was hired on with was really supposed to pull off the assassination of the Exalt. So I ended up switching sides and helped the Exalt's brother instead. Been with them ever since- well, until I ended up here, anyway.

[He shrugs, chewing a piece of potato before washing it down with another spoonful of the broth.]

Mad? Why should I be? Being a thief's not something I'll deny, 'specially when it's true. I know people tend to be wary about their things when they know a thief's around, and I'm usually the first culprit they pin if their stuff goes missing, but it's not something I'm particularly bothered with. -although for the record, I don't go stealing things that belong to comrades.

What, seriously? [He frowns a little, and with a sigh, he shakes his head.]

Don't worry about it. I'm used to it.

[Well now she feels bad. But she does know a way to make it up to him.

Rummaging through her pocket, she takes out a small golden tin and of mints and places it on the table in front of him]

[He arches a brow at it, his gaze flicking from the little tin and back to Cynthia.]

These are mints fused with belue. It's a kind of berry from my world. I had an unlimited supply of these back home. So I'd like you to have it.

[As if the sacks of chocolate coins weren't enough.]

Mints, huh...

[He reaches over to open the tin so he can have a look at them, although he pauses to look back at Cynthia.]

What for? Just because of a little misunderstanding?

[But...he'll just surreptitiously slip those mints away for later.]

So...about this island we're going to. What do we know about it?

Well, from what I hear, it's got a volcano, and people live there and make things powered by steam- whatever that means. Donatello was particularly interested in checking the place out, anyway.

Donatello...he's that shut in right? The one with the lab? If what you said is true then I'm pretty sure that boy would pee himself when we get there. I know I'd like to get my hands on a few steam powered things. It'll be so much better than living in the dark ages.

By any chance, would you know if the volcano is active, dormant or extinct? I'd love to go in and have a look if it's any of the last two.

I've heard it's dormant, which is why the people have settled there.

Oh gosh, look after that one. I know his brothers have everything controlled. But it's usually the shut ins that I worry about the most.

[Because shut ins could snap, and she didn't want that to happen.Ever.]

Now I'm excited! Nothing could beat boredom better than exploring the inside of a dormant volcano. Though I'm not quite sure how I feel about going back into a cave after finally leaving one.

Well, at least this cave should be a lot different? Bigger and warmer, for one.

Huh...well if there's one thing that I've learned from cave diving and volcanoes, it's that if you look hard enough, you MAY just spot a room filled with gems. You think Kitty'll be interested in a little treasure hunt?

Oh yeah? Hm, I don't know. He probably wouldn't object, if there was something worth looking into.

Well, I think I'll go ahead and ask him. I'm sure the thought of some extra currency would make him do a funny little happy dance or something.

[She gets up, walks over to his side to playfully mess his hair before she goes.]

[He lifts his hand to offer a wave as Cynthia, ducking his head as she tousles his hair. Ack.]
