What: Picking up new crew members and recovering from the Navy battle! Plus shenanigans.

Oh yeah? [totally noticing] And here I thought I needed to behave myself. Feeling like having a little time away from the kids, Cynthia?

Me? Oh darling no, I was talking about you possibly hitting on one of the tavern girls. You couldn't handle me.

Ugh. Maybe I don't want somebody who's gonna call me a kitty the whole time. [nose back into his mug]

[his eyes snap up, and then the rest of him perks up with a grin before he reaches to flag down a server]

Deal! Though I'm runnin' low on gold, already. Gonna have to find some way of getting more. [not above taking some from some of these pompous, well-dressed townsfolk...]

Well Mr.Gan Ning of the Bells, what if I told you I knew a way to make us all rich beyond our wildest dreams? So rich...

[She lowers her hand to ring one of his bells]

I could buy you diamond encrusted bells.

[oho? Oho! He eyes her for a moment, going all serious]

I don't need diamonds, but you got my attention. What've you got?

Some untapped resources under the volcano. There have been stories going around that there may be undiscovered gem caverns. Sure it's not pillaging or piratey stuff. But it's still walls...[She leans closer, meeting his eyes for added emphasis.] and walls...and walls of bright shiny rocks that could probably set us up for life.

[Then pulls back to snag two cups from one of the tavern servers.]
Buut since the captain said he didn't need diamonds...I suppose he doesn't need to know about the cave outside town that might lead to it all.

Hey, hey...precious metal is precious metal, I don't care how we come by it.

[he takes the fresh cup, so that now he's two-fisting his ale. Yes. This is the life]

Save the jewel-encrusted anything for nobles, I'll just be happy if we can fill our ship with all the good food we can haul, maybe get some spare weapons and clothes and...yeah, all right, I say go for it.

Oh I'm sure we'd be able to get all that. Plus three new ships and probably our own island if we wanted to...and soap.

[That was an exaggeration. But it'll definitely be a LOT of gems...and yes, they were in dire need of soap.]

It'll take me a few days to actually find it though. I haven't gone volcano diving in a while so my skills are pretty rusty. But if the captain's okay with sending the only female member of the crew into a dormant volcano...?

C'mon, you're tougher than that. [smirks] But if you're really worried, take the boys with you. They'll need to work off their hangovers with a little exercise, and it'll keep 'em from ending out halfway out to sea with krakens again.

Who said anything about being worried? I was asking permission.

[She scoffs.]

Besides, I'd rather not drag along the boys while they're hungover. I don't know what's in there and I don't want anyone getting hurt.

Well, you totally have permission. Go for it. Corral anyone you want to go with ya. Maybe Hiccup, he won't be hung over.

How about you, hot shot? You won't go with me?

[he just sort of looks at her. Honestly, Cynthia, do you want this to go with you? Mr. Can't Be Stealthy Ever?]

You really think it'll be that dangerous?

[It's a volcano not the first bank of Aeolipile. Stealth was never an issue here.]

No matter what the status, entering a volcano for the first time will always be dangerous. But I was thinking of this as more of a first date.

[She'll innocently take a sip of her drink.]
