[Log || 004] Empieza and Aeolipile

What: Picking up new crew members and recovering from the Navy battle! Plus shenanigans.
Warnings: DRAGON!!! But no, nothing really. Probably.

[Mikey should be asleep. It's night, and around here they seemed to be doing things more in the open and in the day, so he was trying to sleep at night but... he's a night turtle. He likes the night time, and oh how many stars there are, and a endless sea, and the moon waving on the waters and...]

[Right, he likes the sea and pirate life. What can he say, it as new and interesting!]

[Tonight he was being GOOD. He wasn't being loud or binging off the boat or anything. Stopping in port had helped a LOT with his hyper-activeness (and Leo laying in on him a few days ago calmed him down more as well). So there he was, coming out on deck so he could (gasp) train a little on his own, when he saw the pretty new member of their little crew.]

[A smile grew and he came closer, head tilted looking at her, then up to the sky she was looking at.]

It's pretty awesome out there, huh?

[She had turned to smile at her new found company, only to have it replaced by a very quick expression of surprise.

You'll have to forgive her Mikey. She's been out cold all day and hasn't really gotten used to the idea of non human crew members just yet. But she does quickly pull herself together and flashes him that signature smile of hers.]

I'm sorry, still getting used to everything.

[Whoops, sorry. He gave a soft smile though, like her surprise didn't surprise him or upset him. Just a smile. He came closer, but left her room, crouching down to lean on his knees near by.]

[At her more pulled together smile he smiled bigger]

It's cool. It's a lot to take in at once. [he'd be lying if he said he wasn't interested in their new crew mate. First of all, the only girl on the ship. Second of all, she was interesting. And pretty, not that it mattered.]

I slept pretty well considering I don't have to sleep on rocks anymore. But shouldn't you be in bed? It's pretty late.

[She takes a quick look around the ship. Yeah everything looked pretty dead at the moment. So she was sure he should be in bed too.]

And yeah it's quite a lot to take in. But I like meeting new people or...uhm...giant green squirtles.

Bed? Nawwwww, it’s early! [he chuckled, crouching near by and looking off at the night.] Back home we’re not suppose to go out in the day, so night is more our thing. I like it in the day here though. The sun is pretty nice.

[he gave her a cheesy grin, but there was a spark of something in his eyes that said he didn’t get it. Then he just.... looked like he didn’t get it] Ah... squirtles?

...right! Gaius told me what type of species you guys were...uhh...oh gosh...I know it rhymes with Squirtle...Oh! Turtle! We don't have your kind in my world, but a close counter part would definitely be a Squirtle. Except they're not as green and they have the ability to control water.

So, why aren't you allowed to go out during the day? Does it have an effect on your health or are you just nocturnal creatures?

[Cynthia, he's not a pokemon, stop trying to study the poor boy.]

Turtles! Yeah. That’s us. Dude, that is way cool that your turtles control water. Wish I could do that. Pew Pew. [he made like he was shooting water from his hands, as if they were energy blasts or something. So cool!]

Awww, it’s nothing like that. [and study him all you want. He doesn’t mind the attention. He’s chill about it.] Where we’re from, me and my brothers are the only ones like us. Well, there was that incident with Raph’s turtle, spike, but that’s different. Well, kind of different.

Aw man, what I mean is... we got a lot of humans like you around, but no one like us. Master Splinter doesn’t think it would be good for us to be seen by them. they wouldn’t understand us. I think it would be fine.

Yeah...and with enough training you could even evolve into a Blastoise and have water cannons grow out of your back. Though I'm almost positive you wouldn't enjoy the life of a pokemon.

[She listens intently to his explanation, and may have frowned at the mention of no one understanding them]

So...you only came out at night because you were in hiding? That's pretty sad.

[His eyes... they grew.... like ten times bigger, very slow an amazed. WATER CANNONS?! FROM HIS BACK!? OH MAN HOW COULD WOULD THAT BEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! (meanwhile [only not] light shined down upon him and angels sang, seriously, he was sure that was what was happening right now. HOW COOL)...]

Not... enjoy it? But... but cannons! [dude, your mouth... it’s watering. Stop that.]

[Oh but yeah, he blinked, drawing back a bit and wiping at his mouth and face.] Oh, ah... it’s not too sad. I mean, a bit, I guess. But Master said it was for our own good, as well as theirs. I suppose he’s right. He almost always is. But I don’t think humans are all that bad. I mean... I really like the city.

Canons yes, but also living in balls, battling non-stop and training day in and day out. I mean, I know it has its perks. But sometimes, I do wonder if my pokemon are happy.
