I had to suppress my true self, while hating and resenting that hill.

writerjinrou) and Toshio (
doctor_ozaki)
Where: The Moon, then in Isla Empieza (the next time the Spades are there)
When: April 18th for egg-finding, then time skipped to the next time the Spades on in town!
What: Finding eggs!
Warnings: R forToshio's mouth language and alcohol consumption.
Style: Action

Well, that was certainly not something he expected to find on a ship. The colorful, painted egg gained a curious expression as he examined it. He didn't have long to ponder it, however, before he spotted yet another ten feet away.
"...Hm?"
Seishin frowned openly as he approached the second. Well, it wasn't like he was completely unfamiliar with foreign holidays. Somebody must be attempting to bring...Easter cheer? Well, even he could appreciate something such as that. A faint smile appeared on his lips as he pulled the egg from the space between two crates and turned it in his hand.

psh he has the mouth of an angel.
He spotted Seishin on the other side of the deck and quickly made his way over.
"Hey, did you see anyone who may have been planting these things around the ship? " He asked, thinking maybe the other had heard or smelled something.
Straight to business as usual. If no physical presence had done this, which he highly suspects is the case since he was likely to wake at the slightest sound these days, then the land must be up to its usual holiday antics.
And like with the candy incident he was going to try and figure out the trick before it could do any harm. Though so far they've seem to be nothing but playful pranks. You can never be too cautious okay?
He holds out his free hand. "Can I see those? " planning to compare them to his own and see if he can detect anything weird about them.
yeah okay sure whatever you say doc
"No, and they don't...smell like anyone." It was strange to say, but it was the truth- because the eggs didn't have the scent of a person.
Seishin complied with the request, lifting both hands to put the eggs into the waiting hands. Just the eggs lacking in a scent was enough to raise an alarm, though it was something that had just entered his mind, just from him seeing Toshio. Strange how working with the doctor made the cogs in his brain turn faster. That was how motivation worked, though.
It could be what made them such a great team...
B| using your muns favorite face sei
Too bad it didn't work all the time, like when people tried to make him give up smoking and he decided to say screw them and smoked even more. Or the time they tried to talk him out of climbing one of the huge fir trees to play a practical joke on their tearful friend. He did feel rather shitty about that one though, poor kid...
He grabbed the eggs and examined them, taking the markings and color into consideration. One of them was gold, he had heard about them around the journals. "This gold one is going to hatch into a chick." He said absent mindedly as he moved onto the rest.
And then he placed them all down except one.
Crack.
With a slight bit of pressure he dared to break it open, keeping it away from him in case it ejected something. And out came....gold. The gold fell away from his hands and hit the ground with a metallic clink. He stared at it a moment before bending over and picking a doubloon up, spinning it around in his fingers and then dumping what was left in the egg in the same palm. Four doubloons, well things could have been worse.
"Chicks and gold....huh? More tactful then the last joke but still rather strange."
...that is her favorite face yes *sigh*
Then, something even more fascinating happened. The silver-haired young man's brow tensed as he watched the golden coins fall. Kneeling down, he also picked one up, placing it into the palm of his hand to examine it. With that, he stood and held it out to Toshio with a faint smile.
"I must say, it's a rather interesting combination. Though, it is fitting for Easter, actually."

Even if they are planning to create an army of the undead.
Toshio took the coin, gave it a considering look and then shrugged before pocketing it. He then started on opening the other eggs, one was actually hard boiled! But like hell he was going to eat it, he held it out to Seishin.
"Guess so, still weird. Here you want this, I'm not hungry." That and he knew better than to eat anything that just shows up mysteriously.
But he was curious to see if it actually had an effect or not. So let's use his hungry Jinrou of a best friend as a test subject.
Meanwhile the other coins he finds he pockets as well.

Seishin took it and gave it a curious look, before glancing back towards his best friend. He knew how Toshio could be when it came to learning new things. Well, it didn't smell strange. And Seishin really was hungry. But, he couldn't bring himself to devour a...magical egg.
Sorry, Toshio, he knows how much it means to you for him to play guinea pig. Jerk."I suppose so. Magically appearing eggs filled with varying gifts isn't exactly something I would have expected- even for this holiday. Though, I suppose we probably should start expecting the unexpected, around here. Otherwise, we'll continue to be surprised or caught off guard."
