....well, all right, if you say so. 'Cause I usually gotta be on my best behavior around the gods and stuff. But if you're just a guy, then cool.

A guy who says weird stuff, but a guy. I can get behind that.

Oh. Don't worry. I might not be a regular human anymore, but I'm definitely not a god or spirit of any kind.

[Just sort of eternally bonded to one.]

Do only spirits use the power of the elements in your world?

Yeah, pretty much. I mean, Zhuge Liang called the wind at Chi'bi, or so they say, but that was nothin'. I hadn't even met any of the spirits until we all got taken to another world, and let me tell ya, comin' face to face with the creator and his wife gives you a whole new perspective on things.

[raavashing]

You've been to another world before? Before all this? My world has two worlds that are connected. The material plane and the spirit world. Is that how your world is?

[youhearthebells]

Before this, yeah. No, it's not the same at all - that world was created by a demon, he dragged us all there because he's a total dick and wanted to fight us. I was there before I came here, this world's a lot more normal compared to the other one.

[raavashing]

Do you mean a dark spirit? One of chaos?

[youhearthebells]

Yeah. Exactly. [his expression darkens]

Orochi. Chaos is pretty much what he wanted. Tore up bits of our land, and bits of another, threw 'em together for his own amusement.

[raavashing]

[Wan wondered if Vaatu would have done something similar had he won at Harmonic Convergence. The world would as he knew would have been destroyed, covered in darkness and chaos.]

Did you defeat him?

[youhearthebells]

[he sags a bit]

Yeah. Twice. And even then...everybody's still stuck in that world. It looks like home, feels like home, but it's not. Not with snake demons everywhere.

[raavashing]

I'm sorry. He sounds powerful. But you've beat him twice. Even if they're all stuck there, I'm sure you and they will find a way out. Together.

[youhearthebells]

Yeah, I suppose it can't be forever. But I ain't a scholar, I don't know much about stuff that I can't grab with my own five senses. I know what I see and hear and can touch - and run my sword through.

[raavashing]

That's usually enough. You can learn the rest as you go.

[Wan shrugged, giving a smile to try and cheer his new captain back up.]

And you seem like a fast learner.

[youhearthebells]

Heh! Don't get all sage on me, now. Else I'll have to start callin' you 'old man.'

[he waves it off, picking himself back up rather easily]

I think you'll be just fine, here. Get comfy while you can, Wan, because there's no tellin' what else might happen.

[raavashing]

I've been called worse.

[Wan laughed softly and started for the door to the lower decks.]

I think it's time I got back to looking for Mi-ke-lan-je-lo and Ra-fi-el.
