Sending a Message
Who: Spades & anyone who hops over
Where: The quickly ruining ashes of what once was a naval base + at sea with the Spades, Luffy, and anyone coming back with Logan and Rogue // AKA: THE SUN, THE MOON, AND THE STARS!
What: Coldly angry Marco lets all the navy men go free and makes sure they have enough supplies to sail with, but makes it clear he's burning the base down into the shape of a spade "to send a message"
Warnings: UH VIOLENCE? JUSTICE LECTURES? At least he's not feeling too bloody and murderous, but maybe that's worse, oops.
Status: Open!
See also this post and remember that Marco's usual reasons for holding in check (ie: Thatch, Nico Robin, Namur, Roxas) are gone or, in Marco's opinion more reasons to cut loose. Feel free to smack him upside the head, he won't retaliate.

WHO ARE YOU?! How'd you get here?! ANSWER ME!
[As his finger is hovering on the trigger.]
no subject
What th' Hell is wrong with you?!
no subject
ANSWER ME!
[Crocker continues to hold her at gun point and twitching in the eyes and his body.]
no subject
[One of her hands is at the other's wrist, undoing her glove and slipping it off, fingers flexing. To anyone who doesn't know her? She knows: that movement isn't threatening.]
Now drop the gun or I'm droppin' you!
no subject
[Rogue's remark catches Denzel off guard and the look of bafflement crosses his face.]
You are? [There's a weak awkward laugh that follows.]
SORRY!
[Crocker drops the gun, quite literally straight down and the rifle goes off, when it hits the floor boards, Denzel jumps and yelps and a seagull falls to the deck.]
Well - this is awkward.
Let's try this again. I'm MR. CROCKER! And you are?
no subject
[Rogue darts forward after the gun's gone off and picks it up. It's... old. Really old. Like, Civil War reenactment old.
But looking at it? It's not primed for another shot. So she breathes and puts it back down.]
Y' don' just-- What the Hell?!
[Mississippi girl knows gun safety, and now... Well. Any sense of 'manners' has kind of gone out of her head.]
What the Hell's wrong with you?! You coulda killed someone!
no subject
You did tell me to drop it.
no subject
Jesus.
[But her heart's slowly, slowly starting to beat at a more normal pace. The bullet only hit a seagull. Not her. Not anyone else.]
Shit.
[But she hasn't introduced herself. So. Deep breath. Clench the teeth. Another breath. Calm.]
'M Rogue.
no subject
Actually, I do. [Crocker goes to pick up the rifle.]
But that's besides the point!
[What is the problem? He's rather literal minded. Crocker eyes over at the seagull. At least he didn't hit anyone else and frowns deeply as he nods his head.]
You saw nothing. [Denzel states rather mystically as he pushes the seagull over the boat with his foot and offers Rogue a hand shake.]
Now - you where saying about Marco?
no subject
[Rogue makes a movement at first to grab the seagull, but it's gone before she can. Damn it. Could have made a meal out of that. At least then the bullet wouldn't have gone to waste.
Obviously not someone who's hunted before.
She stands up, putting her glove back on before she shakes his hand. The gesture has even more caution to it than it usually does. Because, well. This guy's definitely unstable.
After a brief shake, her arms cross in front of her.]
I joined up after hearin' Marco goin' after the slavers that got his brothers. Logan brought me.
no subject
[One of his eyes twitch for a moment. He doesn't like her like that! Oddly enough shaking his hand ends up being perfectly normal. Afterwards, Crocker lets the arm fall back to his side.]
Oh? Why is that? Relation to Marco?
Logan? Oh yes, I've seen him around.... He's a - bit scary looking.
no subject
[Not exactly this Logan, but she's not going into that.]
So when I heard 'bout Marco's brothers, sounded like somethin' I wanted t' be part of.
no subject
[Crocker gives a quick lunatic laugh.] Which is nice when you think about it.
[After a few months, Crocker is finally starting to settle into the idea that the Spades are all family. Even more so as he's warmed up to Nami, Namur and Sato.]
Glad to have you aboard then - Sorry about almost shooting you. [There's an awkward subtext with the second sentence.]
Did you get shown around?
no subject
She's holding onto the "unstable" judgement.]
Shown 'round a bit.
[She nods to the rifle.]
You know how t' handle that thing?
no subject
Back home I work with lasers and here Miss Cousland gave me pointers on how to shoot.
Considering, I needed something that wasn't modern technology in order to fight the - [The man starts himself and turns paler, begins to shake and barely chokes out.] Navy.
[There are things he wishes he could un-see.]
And this being the closest thing.
Ha- ha!
no subject
Look.
Me? I learned how t' hunt. Actually hunt.
Good ol' boy in Mississippi style huntin'.
no subject
After all I hunt - FAIRIES! [There's that body twitch again.]
Oh? [The man's eyes seem to narrow behind his glasses.] So you're also from an Earth.
Can't say I've ever been to Mississippi.
no subject
[...Fairies. Mutants. That's too close in her mind. She's seen mutants that fly and do things that could be considered magic.]
The huntin' I'm talking about is me takin' down a ten-point buck.
no subject
Ten- point buck?.. Do you mean deer?!
No, can't say I've done that kind of hunting. Why do you ask?
no subject
[And judging. She might be judging, too.]
no subject
Answer your question?
[The man states rather harshly. Crocker can aim well if he maintains his sanity enough.]
no subject
[She crosses her arms in front of her, head cocked. Perfect "teenager attitude" pose, and she doesn't care in the slightest.]
no subject
SORRY!
Suppose I should had asked first before putting my finger on the trigger.
no subject
Never put your finger on the trigger 'less y' wanna fire.
no subject
Mr. Davies?
And - I thought you where invading the ship?
[The man didn't recognize her and well jumped to conclusions.]
