Hmm. Well...

*She leans back against the tree, looking up into the sky as she thinks about it*

It's kinda a small town. A few stores and a few homes. Then there's the pier where people go fishing. There are forests near by, and a real pretty beach. Get a lot of beautiful views round there.

It sounds really nice, actually. Nothing at all like Tison Village. What sorts of things happen in your town? Any festivals?

Tison Village? Is that your home town - you should tell me about it!

*She smiles, though, thinking that this guy was some kind of rival for asking lots of questions*

Uhm, not a lot of stuff happens. But the Garden is there right now, and I run the festival there. There are fair days and dances and stuff in the town though too sometimes.

Yeah, that's the town I was born in. I think at one point it was a prosperous town but not in my memory. Parthevia at one point was winning wars. Maybe against Reim? I'm not sure but the war started to go badly.

My father was a fisherman and he was retired from the military, so he didn't care much and never offered anything to the government.

The people there are very loyal but now it's really a village of women and children because the men have been taken to war.

It's not a nice place.

*She sighs a little and bows her head, looking at her guitar and plucking a string*

Yeah. That can happen. It sucks. I'm sorry it happened to your town...

It's the whole country. The Emperor sees his citizens as disposable. If it isn't war, it's sending people into the dungeon. They never see home again. Not that I can go back either.

*She even pulls a face as if to prove how unhappy she is about all of that*

Hmmm, this place is a lot of fun, but so's traveling around the world where I am now. It's okay for awhile, but if I'm going to become a king I need to head back.

[He grins.]

I was in Imuchakk. You should see my friend Hinahoho. He's huge! Like, really huge! All the Imuchakk are! They're a warrior tribe. Even the ladies are huge!

[Alas, his sister didn't go for him either.]

Hinahoho is like twice the size of me! [He grins.]

Ja'far said he comes with me.

Oh - I see! So you gotta go home to be a big shot king, huh?

*Selphie giggles at that - because it's pretty difficult for her to imagine this young man as king, but she nods her understanding anyway*

Wow - they do sound big! But then, everyone is big compared with me!

[Sinbad's a little off, because Hinahoho is twice his size when he's a 6' tall adult.]

That's right! I'm going to get all the power I can and I'm going to make everyone listen to me so the Emperor has to and I'll tell him he's wrong!

I would. They would matter to me as if they were my family. Everyone would be well cared for and have enough to eat.
